Troll Control: Do We Need to do Something Here?

As you all are aware by now I'm sure, we had one hell of a troll issue. This particular troll was not using AOL, (I don't think) but the activities did raise a question:

How many of you use the dinosaur that is AOL to surf these intrawebs?
I don't know if it can be done or not but if the Mods can ban all AOL users, should they?

We all know that on occasion, one of Marlboro Chief's many mults will post some rather concerning images and after a discussion with DaFace, the only way we can prevent this type of activity is to ban all AOL users, (can't get an I.P. address with AOL).

I will attach a public poll, which will be kept open for a while. If DaFace feels like making this a sticky, feel free.

I think that if a certain percentage of "decent" users utilize AOL we should just live with the occasional surprise but I leave this up to you all.

Sorry if repost.

DaFace, is there any way you can determine how many people here are even using AOL? I can't imagine there are that many, and I'm guessing those who are, won't admit it.

Probably more than half of those are MC.

The problem here is that he also has rudimentary knowledge of proxies, so we could shut down AOL, but we'd probably just end up having to follow him around, banning proxies one by one. I wouldn't be optimistic that we could ever truly be rid of him.

Is it possible to disallow a new user from posting until a mod allows the account? It's not like the recent troll we had was real secretive with user names.
