Pretty amazing! all this for $300 and the POS Spiderman 3 production costs topped 300 million. I know the actors didn't get all that cash.

$300?

That "video" was shot in high-def, probably with the Red camera. Someone extremely skilled in Final Cut Pro or Avid edited the video. A very good cameraman and director of photography shot and lit the scenes. Another (if not several) VFX artists obviously contributed the aliens, their ships and the explosions.

The $300 was probably the permit fee for shooting in downtown Montevideo.

It's an impressive piece of work and the director/creator is clearly talented. But $300?

I was thinking the same thing. The permit would cost more than 300 bucks. Getting the licensing to that soundtrack would cost more that that

I seriously doubt that they got license to use that score.

The permit? Maybe, maybe not. All they needed to do was shoot was shoot some daylight exteriors. The rest was VFX.

Well, it was Uruguay. They probably bought em off with some free catering

Because first off, it looks like the Red in terms of quality and secondly, it's becoming the first choice of many producers and directors because of the cost and quality.

I'd guess these guys just rented the gear for a day or two. Everything else was done in Post.

I wonder if the DSLR crossovers like the Mark V will bite into Red's demographic. Can't help but think they're going to lose some.
