I was surprised that the combine started today. It always comes up before I realize it. I always think it is mid March or something. Finally, something real to discuss about football for a few weeks. Unfortunately the combine will give birth to a million bastard "what if" children before the draft passes.

A friend just told me he heard Adam Schefter guarantee that the Rams are going to draft Sam Bradford.

I found one post on another site that said it too when I searched google.

In an interview with Burwell and Stelton, Schefter pretty much said "Mark my words" the Rams will draft QB Sam Bradford come draft time.

He also mentioned that Steven Jackson, if the Rams wanted, could be traded for a 1st and more no question.

That is the team I was thinking of that would trade a 1st for him.

Maybe the Texans if they let Robinson walk as well. Slaton isn't an every down back, but would be a good spell back.

Problem is, I don't know if they'd use him enough. They seem content letting Rivers throw the ball 40 times a game.

Good lord I would hope we wouldn't waste a second on a two down player who is never going to pass any of Haley's weight or conditioning tests.

Waste? A NT like that in the second round? Cody has talent, and we need his fat a$$ in the middle to eat up blockers. I think Haley will be all over his weight . . . to play at 350. Haley's the perfect coach for Cody.

Weigh-ins today are for OL and TE's only. No drills until tomorrow. They changed up the scheduling this year. First day - exams and interviews, 2d day weigh ins, 3rd day they start drills.
