Party Down - series
Anyone checked this out? The first 2 seasons are up on netflix (streaming) - I recommend watching an episode or two, if you like to laugh.

I just recently watched season one on demand. I really enjoy this show. Shame they lost Jane Lynch, but I think Megan Mullally is good addition.

I am not quite as high on Megan Mullally, I don't think she is bad but I don't think she really improves the show. |

Hilarious show. I watched the season 2 premier over the weekend and really liked it.
So far I really don't mind that Jane Lynch is gone. Her character did have some amusing moments, but she usually annoyed me more often than not. |

I'm just a Jane Lynch fan. Her recurring role on Two and a Half Men is one of my favorite TV characters. I hear she's great on Glee, but I don't think I can bring myself to watch that.

Your loss on not watching Glee. It combines the sadness of Friday Night Lights with farcical, age-inappropriate humor.

Musical numbers are just something I can't handle. I hear it isn't full musical style in the movie sense but descriptions have turned me off enough to avoid.

Watch the pilot. That should be enough to decide upon but you should at least watch the pilot.

**** whatever show you guys are talking about...
:-) I'd like to see the beer commercial for the famous "Are we having fun yet?" line. I'll start season 2 tomorrow.

Just watched the second episode of season 2 and it was very solid as well. The interaction between all of the characters continues to be great.
Roman is particularly amusing as the total nerd with his constant references to only writing hard sci-fi and his interactions with the blond acting guy when they compete to score women. |

never knew there was even a season 2. Season 1 was great. Going to have to check out season 2. I thought the show got canceled for some reason.

I think having worked in the catering business really adds to my enjoyment of this show. I worked for a catering company, part time, when I first moved to KC back in 07.. Party Personnel was the name of it.
