I guess pitchers in AAA don't know how to throw a slider down against him? |

As soon as his glove in the outfield is not a total embarassment, Gordon needs to come up ASAP. Even if his OPS falls all the way down to the .725 range, that would still be a welcome addition. If nothing else, hitting well in KC for half a year would improve his trade value.

That being said, I like Pods but he for sure isn't a long term answer. I would be looking to trade him, Guillen and Ankiel if possible. Though if I have to keep any of them I keep Pods. And if we can pawn Meche off onto someone then all the better. Trade Yuni too, while you're at it. I'll take Getz's weak bat and above AVG defense and live with Avilles at SS. |

Meche actually seems more valuable to us than his trade value would be. He's looked somewhat decent recently, but his reputation right now is so bad we'd have to pay someone to take him off our hands.

I would love to see us get some value for Gordon. Callaspo has been looking pretty good as our 3B.
I wonder if Callaspo will get moved to the OF next year, when we lose...pretty much everyone.

I agree that Gordon needs to be here, even if that means "learning" the outfield on the fly.
In the outfield, Callaspo would be '10 Guillen, without the live arm. Dude is not very athletic at all. |

AC is fine where he is. His bat is worth finding a place in the lineup. I don't want to get rid of him. Especially for ****ing Gordon!

Now, Farnsworth on the other hand has actually started to earn his pay. I cannot complain about his last couple outings. He has been pretty solid. Still not worth the $'s we are paying him, though.

"Even if Gordon is over-matched upon being promoted to the big leagues, a demotion could set back his development. Royals GM Dayton Moore has already shown that he intends to handle Gordon carefully, virtually eliminating any chance that the young third baseman will be forced to deal with multiple demotions like (Aubrey) Huff. A.C. Will be the next traded player, mark it down. He hits too well to be here much longer.
