Would an O-line make us competitive even with Cassel?
So, we're not getting luck, and probably won't draft a QB because we won't finish high enough to get a good one.
Can we be competitive if we get an O-line that can block worth a shit? If Cassel gets time, he can throw the ball better than he does now. Obviously, he's no Aaron Rogers or anything. But with a real OL, would he be slightly better than a Trent Dilfer? |

It would make us competitive, but we'd never win anything, because even when he has time to throw, Cassel shits the bed.

Would our O-line look better without Cassel? The Defense doesn't have to respect him as a threat. Hell, send the farm on every play. He's not going to make you pay for it.

We would be better...the game wouldn't be on him so much. When he has time he is not THAT bad.
But right now this OL would have Rodgers sucking ass |

With a good Oline? I doubt it. Because we have ****ing Muir as our OC.
Cassel was lucky last year because he had JC who kept defenses on their toes. |

Doubtful.
Cassel has zero pocket awareness, zero accuracy, zero ability to consistently throw the ball downfield, zero game management ability. He is closing in on 30 years old, three full years in this offense with no hope of any further development/improvement. The Chiefs could bring back the early 2000's offensive line with Roaf and Shields and it probably wouldn't matter. Cassel was outplayed by Tebow today... enough said. |

I think with a really good offensive line he would be a little bit better but not by much. |

Heads should roll. That said, Cassel could have our line from 2003 and still not be any good. His ceiling is slightly below average QB.
