NFC

The Packers - Aargorn, will the heir of Isildur could retain the throne?

The 49ers - Frodo, no one expects its success this year, and many still doubt it can go the distance.

The Saints - Gandalf, carried on the back of Shadowfax (Drew Brees), the multiple attacks of the firework are devastating.

The Giants - Rohan riders, they could be hunkered at Helms Deep, or rise to the occasion at the plain of Pelennor Field. No one knows for sure.

The Falcons - Legolas, when he is in the groove, his icy darts are deadly.

The Lions - Gimli, stout and courageous, its battle axe (Suh) strikes fear to any opponent.

AFC

The Patriots - Sauron, the uber enemy, it sets a benchmark of success for everyone to reach.

The Ravens - Shelob, its defense (web weaving) is renown.

The Steelers - Saruman, ambitious and resourceful, one who could almost match the Dark Lord's power.

The Texans - Witch king, finally emerges under the shadow of the Colts. If everything falls in the right place, it could unseat its master, the Dark Lord.

The Broncos - Balrog, it has wings but couldn't fly and its magical power is not always working. But you never know.

The Bengals - the Grond, used to be the Melkor's battleaxe, but now it is reforged anew.

This is where tags would be great. Tagging threads Hall of Fame or Hall of Shame worthy would make it easy to find and create polls for the end of year awards. Too bad tags get abused so bad.
