The Chiefs replacing Cassel with another guy that is kinda ok but not going to win for you in all likelyhood only sets us back farther. I also agree a team like SEA would offer him more.

Alex Smith has much more talent than Cassel.

He has the arm to push the ball downfield and provide enough of a threat to open things up underneath for the RBs. In other words, he's a legitimate game-manager.

Cassel just sucks dicks.

So Alex Smith would prove to be way too good for Pioli to bring in.

His arm isnt noticeably stronger at all, but he is better at seeing the field & has better anticipation.
