Watches: Citizen Eco-Drive, Tissot or Victorinox?

Looking for a new watch, and seem to have it narrowed down to three. Would love to spend $1000+ on a watch, but decided to keep it under $500.

I keep coming back to these - wondering if anyone has any experience with these specific watchmakers, or have any suggestions in my range.

Thanks!

I've had a Tag Heuer for a decade. I've had 3 Citizen Eco-drives during that time as well. The Tag is still running strong and looks like the day I bought it. The Citizens are all dead and discarded.

I recommend saving some money and waiting until you can purchase a bracelet with a sapphire chrystal face. That's the most durable face out there and Citizen doesn't use it.

I'd like to have a Tag, but would rather not spend that kind of cash.

The Tissot and the Victorinox have sapphire crystal faces, IIRC.

Well - I'm not familiar with their movement but I feel strongly about the sapphire crystal. When a watch has that crystal, it protects as well as anything out there and resists scratches/breaks.

The wife just got me an Omega for my B-day, man it's nice.
Save up and go for a little bit nicer watch.

If you like watches it is worth waiting.

I collect and work on watches. Can't go wrong with an Omega Seamaster, although if 500 clams is your cutoff, you'll be looking at a used one. Get an automatic and not a battery powered quartz watch

$500 is far from my cutoff, I'd just prefer not to spend more.

I certainly don't want to spend $3k on a watch.

Every ****ing machine you interact with has a clock on it.

Every one.

Car, TV, Computer, etc.

Just having a watch is ridiculously redundant...
