RunKC Mock (11/17)
Franchise Houston
Let walk/cut: Avery, R. Harris, Fasano, Linkenbach, Hemmingway, Hammond Jr., Mays, DeVito, Owens, Sorenson, McCray. Sign Hudson and Parker to new deals. Cut Bowe. Extend Sean Smith through 2017. Work his contract to fit the cap better. Sign to minimal deals: Gafford, Fleming, D. Harris, Muaga and Vickerson. Sign the following FA's: KJ Wright ILB (SEA)-Perfect fit for us, obviously since we share philosophies with Seattle. Seahawks won't have much money, and they have key players such as Avril, Carpenter, Maxwell and M. Smith (go after him if we can't get KJ). This guy would be fantastic starting next year next to DJ (who I want to keep). Davon House CB (GB)-Another player from a team with philosophies similar to ours. They have FA's of their own to keep (Bulaga, Cobb, Tramon Williams) and will likely let him go since he's barely the #3 CB there. Owens, sucks, Fleming is good depth and Cooper is non-existent. Nice #3 CB in the rotation. Denarius Moore WR (OAK)- 6 ft, 190, speed and skills. We all know what he can do. 17 TD's in 3 seasons before this year. I think his bad year this year will hurt his push to get money. Would love to have him here. 4 rd Draft 1. Jalean Strong WR ASU-Love his hands, strength, swagger and red zone ability. We are really missing a guy like this right now. Having him would be awesome. Ease him in year 1, primarily in the red zone. 2. Josue Matias G FSU-6'6" roughly 330 lbs. LG has been a catastrophe this year. LDT is a developmental player and Jeff Allen has never shown anything great, plus he's coming off injury. We need to address this. It's been killing us all year. 3. Gabe Wright DE Auburn-This kid knows how to use his hands, he has great quickness and stamina and he looks like a prospect similar to Allen Bailey. He's undersized now at 284, but 2 years ago he was 309 lbs. He purposely lost weight to gain athleticism. We draft these guys every single year and for good reason. Give him an nfl offseason and he'll bulk up to around 300 like Bailey and be a force. He has the tools. Let our elite coaching staff develop him. 3. Comp. EJ Bibbs TE Iowa State-Massive TE who is a good receiver as well as blocker. Would love him pair with Kelce. Could create a deadly combo. 4. Daryl Williams RT OU-6'6" 330 lb RT who has been nasty in run support and gotten better and better every year in pass protection. We need a swing tackle replacement at worst. This guy is good enough to push for a starting spot. 5. Marcus Rush OLB Michigan State-Not as quick, but puts up the production. He would be a nice backup at OLB and a good developmental player for the future to possibly develop into the #3 OLB once Tamba leaves. Last edited by RunKC; 11-17-2014 at 01:44 PM.. |

I'm a fan of it, overall.
What do you have happening with Hali? Have KC pay him his final yr as is? I really like what you did with the WRs. Bowe makes too much to keep as is. The additions of Jaelen Strong + Denarius Moore please me mightily. Would be great to steal away Wright from the Hawks. Solid OG selection. I really like it. ![]()

Solid draft, but you went scorched earth at receiver. Holy shit.
With a good offseason, we're a Super Bowl team next year. And our WR depth chart, in your hypothetical, is now Jaelen Strong, Denarius Moore, De'Anthony Thomas and Albert Wilson. That's it. |

I will poop a taco if the Chiefs take a guard in the second round and a DE in the third.

Shun, Jenkins would still be here.
Dane, I'm nowhere near as high on Jeff Allen as you are. Also want to keep building the lines. I'm a big proponent on that and Dorsey/Reid are too.

Imy starting to like Funchess here. Paired with Kelce on the inside and out would be cool.
Although I've only looked at stuff online about him, haven't watched any. He probably sucks |

I like Funchess' potential, as long as he gives a shit. He doesn't always give a shit on the field.
The problem with Funchess is schematic, as far as KC is concerned. He's a pure receiving TE, and the Chiefs under Dorsey prefer block-first TEs who can catch. |
