Per Terez Paylor

Dorsey on the OL: “Given the resources we had, I think we did as admirable a job as we could."

No, that would be Clark.

Has everyone forgotten how Lamar did it? Spend money on free agency every other year. We spent money with the new regime before last year. Why would anyone be surprised that we did very little to nothing in free agency this last off season?

Now the upcoming season, with money to invest in free agency and umpteen hundred draft picks, should get interesting.

This has nothing to do with spending. You can't spend any more against the past 2 years caps then we did. Much as people believe there are ways to cheat the cap, there aren't.

I am talking about Hunt's cash flow. I am sure they could have looked at reworking some contracts to free up money if it was just about the cap. With the Hunt's it is about the cash flow and how much comes out of their pockets up front for things like singing bonuses.

I am not mis-remembering that this is how Lamar did it every year am I? I seem to remember hearing this back when Carl was still around.

It's the diffe4ence between paying in cash today or paying in credit card. Over time, the amount is the same. I doubt this has anything to do with being cheap. There are reasons why this year was a bad year to get creative with contracts where next year we can be.
