Should Edelman have been taken out for a concussion?

My first instinct is "no" because I want the best players on the field in the Super Bowl.

It also makes my blood boil that we had multiple Chiefs pulled from the playoff game against Indy for symptoms that seemed much less severe.

In either event, there seems to be a pretty inconsistent protocol applied here. The NFL and NFLPA really need to re-evaluate this whole concussion protocol. For consistency sake, Edelman should have been booted but given how effective he still played, it's a good thing he wasn't.

Wait, if he was cleared to play, then what's the discussion? Flowers and Charles weren't cleared to play so how are their situations similar?

He played several plays without an evaluation after he came up woozy. Maybe he clearly checked out. But there was most definitely a moment where everyone wondered if there was a guy on the field who had no idea where he was.

Again, I'm in favor of letting players decide. But I also remember it didn't take much for doctors to yank our chiefs off the field.

The bigger issue to me continues to be that this concussion issue is getting worse, and it matters because it bothers me when good players get taken off the field.

When he got hit I instantly could see he was dazed as shit, even when he missed the TD reception at the end of the drive you could tell he wasn't the same. Next drive he looked much better.
