Customers can access the AT&T U-verse app on more than 30 smartphones and tablets to watch more than 200 live TV channels in the home, 110 live TV channels while on the go, stream video on-demand, schedule DVR recordings and more.
Consumers in eligible areas can choose from single, double and triple play offers to ensure they have the right combination of services to fit their needs.

• U-verse High Speed Internet 1Gbps: Internet speeds up to 1Gbps for $70 per month****, includes waiver of equipment, installation and activation fees, and a three year price guarantee.
• U-verse High Speed Internet 1Gbps + TV: Customers who also select U-verse TV will receive free HBO, HBO GO and HD service for 36 months starting at $120 per month with qualifying TV services.

Nice on the contract. Google Fiber is for 2 years but I don't think they have a data cap.

All plans I have access to in topeka have a data cap. The highest cap is 500gb and the speed isn't much faster than what I already get but the price is twice as much. My cap is currently 250gb.

This article does not mention how the data is transmitted. I would think that 1 Gb/s would need fiber optics. Where did that come from? Are they using what Goggle strung up? Did they run their own? One of our members should know.

Fiber. They have to run their own. Or they can lease/buy dark fiber from companies that already have it in the area.

the data cap is BS, but it will go away sooner rather than later. Been a Uverse subscriber for almost a year, and I have no complaints. My internet would be faster with comcast, but then I would be a comcast customer.... AT&T customer service so far has been awesome. Dog chewed through the line twice in one weekend, and they had a tech out within a few hours each time. Just my experience so far, but if they can get me those types of speeds I'd have NO complaints.

Yeah, I have had U-verse for about 5 years. Doesn't look like this is available yet in my part of Overland Park.
