A Rod Streater signing isn't going to excite anyone, but if he can return to 2013 form, the Chiefs would have the bonafide No. 2 they so desperately need. He's got great size and the guy can flat out fly. Though, if I had my druthers, I'd be kicking the tires on Boldin.

More competition is good. Back half of our WR corps is ****ing awful.

And can we please, please, please find a receiver who can actually return punts instead of a punt return specialist (let alone a mediocre one)? What a waste of a roster spot for Frankie Hammond. For a guy who can only return punts but is worthless in the receiving game. Bring Kerley in and get Hammond the **** out of Dodge. If you can't get Kerley, consider a guy like Jordan Norwood. At least these guys can play the DAT role, since it seems like DAT is a goner.

Im not sure he can return to 2013 form. He hasnt really played since his injury he could have very well lost a step. Hope hes healthy and still fast, would be a good signing if he checks out. (I wanted him last year on a 1 year prove it deal)

Well he's still young. Surely an ankle injury wouldn't **** him up at 28?

happened to Tyvon Branch. Branch fractured his fibula but he snapped his ankle too (like Streater) and came here 2 steps slower than he once was. Couldnt cover anyone with speed. Granted Tyvon Branch is a really good football player so even if Branch at a step slower is decent.

I just find it hard to believe if Streater still had his full speed he loses out to Crabtree who is a slow and bad route runner known for his poor work ethic on San Fran, which is how the Raiders got him cheap until he had a good year

I'm sure they worked him out and asked him to pass a physical with their medical staff.

The size and speed is nice, but can dude stay healthy? Looks like he's been healthy for a minimum amount the last two seasons. Showed some promise in his first two years. If they feel he can quickly contribute something, and won't cost much.. sure.. what the hell.

Think I'd prefer Kerley, but so long as Conley steps it up.. it's whatever.

A coaching decision kept him out of the lineup.
