Has there been a franchise with a Super Bowl window that closed faster than the Jags'?

Good Lord, they really fell off in a hurry.

I think it’s pretty obvious they didn’t actually have a window. They were a 1 year wonder where shit just went right then all hell broke loose

Last year was really an anomaly for them and everything fell into place perfectly. Two of the teams in their division lost their QB's for the year and they really didn't have any injuries. Their defensive starters missed a total of 3 games combined last year. They also had a bunch of defensive touchdowns last year which isn't something that is going to happen very often. That playoff run may have been the worst that happened to them because they committed to Bortles based on how he played in a couple games.

Maybe so, but with their talent, better decision-making from the front office would have had them in contention again. Their biggest mistake was doubling down on Bortles. I'm not sure how they could watch him day in and day out in practice and on Sundays and still believe he was the answer.

If they'd have gone all in on Cousins this offseason they'd probably be leading their division.

Not necessarily. Minnesota is basically a .500 team with Cousins and they have better skill position players on offense than he’d have in Jacksonville.

A pretty good QB hit the market this offseason. How good would the Jags be with Cousins right now?

More wins, but not that great. The Jags OL is shit--Bortles got sacked like what....on a third of his dropbacks yesterday? He'd also have some garbage weapons.

Bortles ****ing sucks (said this all along), but that Offense is hot ****ing garbage beyond just him.
