We’ve played easily the toughest schedule

SRS: simple rating system, shows how much above or below you are vs the avg team. We have played teams that are a full TD better than the avg one. SOS rank:

1. Chiefs 7.0
2. Chargers 4.0
3. Cowboys 3.2
4. Dolphins, Texans 2.8
32. Donkeys -6.1

(Browns 7.2, Ravens 2.3, Chargers 9.2, Eagles 0.9, Bills 17.7). We are 5.5 which is tied for 8th. Our next three: WFT -3.7, Titans -3.8, Giants -6.5.

To be the best, you have to beat the best.

I can see us losing to the Titans. Henry will eat our D for lunch.

They’re gonna rope a dope Henry, he’s gonna get 500 yards rushing in that game. But will cause him to wear down during the season.

The Chiefs have beaten themselves three times, so it looks like they've got that covered.

Is this metric inclusive of when they played the Chiefs? If so, you are forgetting that they are running up huge offensive number against us, skewing the metric.

I’d push back against that. They’ve played 4 other teams each so it incorporates those results too. Also, they’ve had to play our Offense which is 2nd best at 12.2 (Cowgirls 13.0).

Correct, which is why I don't buy the "won't make the playoffs" sentiment. But the fact that we've looked outmatched against multiple AFC contenders doesn't bode well for another Super Bowl run.

They had Baltimore beat until CEH's fumble.

They probably would have beaten the Chargers without three straight drives ending in turnovers to start the game.

Buffalo was the only game where the Chiefs looked outmatched.

And that was against a team that was literally built to beat us.

Yep and even in the Buffalo game, I would say the Chiefs did more to self-destruct than anything great that the Bills did.

Josh Allen completed 15 passes yesterday for 300+ yards... many of those passes against ridiculously blown coverages (usually by Sorensen) that Nathan Peterman could have executed.

On offense the Chiefs hurt themselves more with mistakes than anything special that Buffalo did other than the Rousseau INT.

At this moment, it's all about the Chargers, you want a decent seed in the playoffs, you have to beat the Chargers.

Chiefs are 2-3 overall, 0-1 in AFC west, 1-3 in Conference.
Chargers are 4-1 overall, 2-0 in AFC west, 2-0 in Conference.

Chiefs are back 2.5 games on the Chargers.

Chiefs have @WAS, @TEN, NYG, GB, @LV, DAL, DEN, LV, @LAC, PIT, @CIN, @DEN.

Chargers have @BAL, NE, @PHI, MIN, PIT, @DEN, @CIN, NYG, KC, @HOU, DEN, @LV

We have to pickup 2 games, preferably against AFC opponents, while beating the Chargers in their stadium. We have some cupcakes, but so do they.

Losable games for Chiefs GB, DAL, PIT, @CIN, and you might even be able to make a case for @TEN

Losable games for Chargers @BAL, PIT, @CIN, and you might even be able to make a case for NE.

It doesn't look good for us to win the division in the hole that we've put ourselves in. We might be starting at the 5, 6, or 7 seed, meaning you're going into Buffalo, into Baltimore or into Tennessee if the Playoffs were today. Two of those teams we've already lost to, one handily beaten, one barely beaten, and hopefully we come out on top in Tennessee.

We need to beat Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Raiders x2, Broncos x2 and Bengals to stake your AFC claim. Beating the Chargers would help as well. You can lose to Green Bay and Dallas, but you need to beat everyone else. I think best case scenario I think we can realistically hope for is 12-5 which I don't know if that'll catch the Chargers without them collapsing due to unforeseen circumstances. My though is we're going to finish 10-7 and hopefully draw the Ravens or the Titans in the playoffs, that gives us our best chance to get back to the AFC Championship Game. Then we'll likely have to go to the Chargers or the Bills, I would rather draw the Chargers, and then the Bills personally. Might as well make it a rematch of the AFC Championship game to get to the Super Bowl, but we have alot to get through before that so we need to take care of business and start kicking ass again.

Perfectly stated. Time to get their shit together. Need to crush the teams the next few weeks, this team is losing confidence in itself. Should crush the skins and get ready for the Tits, who lost to the Goddamn NYJ!!!
