I don't enjoy being correct about adverse assessments.

And I don't enjoy Chiefs fans being disappointed.

Like asking a gain of function whistleblower if he's enjoying the global pandemic.

I think we forget how hard it is to make the super bowl every year. It’s still an iconic finish. And the first out of many many attempts where he didn’t close the deal.

Feel like we spent the entire season band aiding obvious problems. Give Andy Reid a full off-season. We’ll be dangerous as ever.

Gotta admit, and probably get more hate for it, I have a shit ton of resentment at the people here who insist that the people concerned about those obvious problems were traitors or bad fans.

It made this place toxic all season.

Because The chicken littles claimed we were awful and were going as far as wanting Reid fired or that mahomes was unfixable. We had a pretty damn good season rebounding from major adversity. I don’t see any validation from the panic we saw earlier in the season. We lost in overtime in the afc championship game to a good team. I don’t know how anyone could be ashamed of that.

I get it, and you are not totally incorrect but, there definitely some who went over board with it, even to the point of saying that Patrick got paid and was mailing it in now.

Unfortunately, yet typical of CP, the more level headed “cautionary tales” get lumped in with the extremists.

Yeah, I'd agree with this. Baby Lee is a good dude, even if I will needle him from time to time about his assessments on things.

But his posts were way different than the "Patrick has mailed it in since getting 500m" or "Patrick has mailed it in since becoming a Dad" or "Is Patrick an NFL QB?" that became all too common around here (and will likely surface again).

There is a difference between pointing out issues and “the world is ending” takes. BL definitely falls into the former category. But CP is gonna CP.

Appreciate the vouch, but also should add for posterity and for all to see and know. When you say way different, it's as in I never had serious criticism of Mahomes, even when he was having troubles. My beef has always been that everything around him, except Kelce and Tyreek, has depended utterly on him to drag them out of mediocrity.

I said before the season started that we're an 8-10 win team with a cheat code at QB. That dynamic never really shifted decisively all year. Even today, put even Burrow on this team all year and we don't even make it this far.

Mahomes is just now entering his prime he will be 27 next season. We still haven't seen things he will be working on in the offseason and elevate his game even better. This year he had to make adjustments to what he hasn't seen and then again did the most amazing plays ever. Problem the opposing quarterback doesn't have to make those crazy plays because our defense is soft. That simple. We get things to improve we will be better next year and more prepared and Mahomes will be the Reaper killing teams.
