Sell me on these Edge rushers and WRs.

Assume the following guys are on the board when KC is picking at the end of the first and 50th. Who do you want, and why?

Edge: Mafe, Ebiketie, Hall, Bonitto, Jackson, Enagbare, Ojabo.

WR: Dotson, Moore, Watson, Metchie, Pickens.

So there's draft forum on Chiefs Planet and on said draft forum you will find a variety of fairly well fleshed out opinions on all of these players.

EDGE: I wouldn't take any of those guys at any of those spots over two players you did not mention: Cameron Thomas of San Diego State and Sam Williams of Ole Miss.

WR: Personally, I take Watson or Metchie. Whichever one is at 50.

My draw to Metchie almost entirely stems from the regular season game this past year, watching him destroy Auburn in the 4th quarter and overtime. Just some insanely clutch plays.

Edit - here you go:

All the more evidence, IMO, that you don't NEED a guy like Jameson Williams. Just look what Metchie did after Williams went down.

I had it wrong - I was thinking of the regular season Auburn game. My bad.

Alabama scored 3 points in that game without Williams until the final moments.

Think that says otherwise but that’s just me

Of course you'd take Williams over Metchie if all things were equal.

However, all things are not equal, particularly draft pick compensation.

We don't need Jameson Williams and we certainly don't need to trade picks to get him.

Yes I love JW but I dont want to trade picks away either.

If he falls and it didnt require to much draft compensation Id probably do it though.

If we trade some high picks, Im leaning more toward Jermaine Johnson. Thats an immediate impact game wrecker! Then I would be cool with Metchie or comparable WR later.

This shit is HARD!

I agree with you pretty much on all counts. Especially the last one!

But my $$$$$$ says that is EXACTLY what the Chiefs are going to do. Mark my words - I really think that is what their plan is.

Take Metchie in the 2nd

I'm taking Metchie every time.
