DITTO! Yes we are. He did a wonderful job on this interview and he presented the Chiefs situation very well - what's not to love?

Interesting that with about 1:20 left he says we’re going to run the football more.

If true, this team is about to steamroll some good defenses because this OL is special when they are able to attack opposing DLs.

Might have won another super bowl had we done that vs Cincy

We would have easily won that game had Andy just fed McKinnon.

I agree with you that the OL is special and we could and should run more.

BUT -

It would really be surprising if Andy Reid's DNA changed enough to allow him to run more.

Brett said, "You may see a little bit more running. You may see a little bit more short game"

Andy is going to do what Andy wants to do. It will be an entertaining and fun season and we will see if the offense changes.

I agree with the gist of this. I do think, however, that it is entirely possible that AR is on board with the idea of running more, knows he needs to run the ball more and actually will make an initial effort to do so. But, ultimately he’ll revert to type. It’s just who he is.

Hope I’m wrong and the old is actually going to learn a new trick but, I ain’t about to put any money on it.

I don't think he's on board with running more. I think he's on board with the idea that linebackers don't bite on play action against us, and you have to punish them for that. It's found money.

The other person who needs to do that is Mahomes when they are running RPOs.

Thanks for posting.

I have been a Chiefs fan through these GMs -

Jack Steadman
Jim Schaaf
Carl Peterson
Scott Pioli
John Dorsey - He was so much better than Scott Pioli
Brett Veach - We are so lucky/blessed to have him as our GM

I love Brett Veach! I enjoy listening to his interviews.

He is pretty damn honest and informative.
