Can the Vikings lose yet another NFC Championship?

You know the stories! There is nothing like a Minnesota Vikings NFC Championship loss!

In 1987 the Vikings were all set to tie the Redskins in the fourth quarter...Wade Wilson threw a perfect pass on 4th and goal...BUT THEY DROPPED THE BALL!

In 1998 the Vikings were ready to take a 10-point lead with 2 minutes left, but Gary Anderson, who had not missed a kick IN TWO YEARS...WIDE LEFT!

In 2009, Brett Favre had the Saints ON THE ROPES and tried to be Mahomes and THREW A TERRIBLE PICK!

In 2017 CASE KEENUM happened

Can it happen again? SURVEY SAYS...YES!

The VIKINGS are going to be the one seed. That means, If the Vikings, can win just one playoff game, they can indeed LOSE in the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP...AGAIN!

SKOL!

Bud Grant is still alive. They should hire him so he can take them to the SB and lose.

They're probably not the one seed...the Eagles schedule is so easy they could legit go undefeated and they have to lose 2 for Minnesota to be the 1.

Huh? They've still got the Giants twice. That's a feisty squad.

and the Eagles aren't? This is a huge factor in their success, and it's a significant outlier. They almost assuredly aren't going to be so lopsided in turnovers going forward and that may very well bring them down to earth.

Not saying the Eagles aren't benefitting from a super easy schedule but their team has more talent than the Giants team.

Of those 2 I'll take the Eagles every time.

I could see the Vikes losing to the Eagles in the NFC championship.

I mean, their receivers are a whole other level of absurd. But for a team that is predominantly winning on offense their struggles against Philly are a cautionary tale. Kirk cousins has a lot of really really good games but he’s always due for a few worst of the worst performances imaginable.

I think the eagles and giants are way less dependent on their qb which makes them way better bets. And I’m not sure putting cousins through the gauntlet of some truly excellent defenses like Philly and Dallas or hell arguably Tampa is reassuring. He will have to beat some really good defenses week after week

That truly excellent defense in Dallas got beat by Christian Watson. Single-handedly.

Sure, any given Sunday… but they also have plenty of great defensive games too. It’s not saying their d is good enough to make that team a Super Bowl team. Just that it can definitely be good enough on any given playoff game to give cousins a tough time. The point is that for the vikes to advance they’ll play some really good defenses and all it takes is for 1 to step up and have a big game.

That goes for any qb, by the way. But cousins moreso because he’s had so many negative performances with the brightest of lights on. Mahomes showed vs Tennessee why you need a qb who can climb you out even when things aren’t working

The Eagles have a pretty weak schedule but I think they have the most talent. They've got elite WRs, a good group of RBs, their defense is talented up and down. Hurts is doing great too it's just how he looks in a playoff situation. Does look like they still have to go to Dallas which should be a good test. But other than Brady the rest of the NFC playoff QBs probably will have question marks.
