When I look at this offseason mock, I feel like the chiefs would be worse next year than this year. I haven't tried piecing next year together, though, so maybe it's a little inevitable.

If we are trading Sneed for a first round pick, we better be getting something out of the draft better than someone in competition with Wanya Morris.

I feel like we're overpaying Tranquill pretty substantially here.
I like the CB Cypress pick! Not my favorite, but good work! |

Think that'd be my evaluation too. I think we get Tranquill for less and he'll want to stay. Sneed I dont think you get more than a decent 2nd round pick, to be honest I'd probably gamble on that and try and get a replacement CB with that or an OT. I'm not mad keen on endless developmental OTs but I can't see much of a choice.

Should say I'm not all in on some of those picks, definitely not 2 RBs. But aside from concerns at LT I actually do think that's a better roster than this year's.

Why not take a top WR with the first pick and trade out of the first with our second pick to draft a guy like T'Vondre Sweat?

No ****ing way would I spend a top 17-ish pick on a RT when we need a LT. I don't dislike him, but not a chance I'd blow that kind of pick. Maybe I'd spend the late 1st on him if we didn't have a RT we have to pay for a couple of seasons. And no, I'm not a believer in this move captain penalty flag to LT nonsense. Fuaga is not a LT to me. I know people like to think the two are nearly equivalent these days, but I'm not in that group. More athleticism is needed at LT than RT. They also aren't as easily interchangeable as people like to believe.
No way would I spend a 2nd round pick on Jack Sawyer and I'm a Buckeyes fan. Not that he isn't a nice player, but that's way too high for him IMO. Maybe a 3rd. He just doesn't generate enough pressure for me. Solid base end that might be a Smoot type. Can I ask what your hard-on is this year for two RBs in the draft and why one needs to come on day 2? I swear every mock from you has had the same thing. What makes you think Veach would do that? There's a few picks in there I like. Worthy is okay. I like the Michigan guy but he's a bit shorter than Reid normally employs. Cypress is solid. I don't hate any player, really, I just think this is grossly out of proportion to what I'd see Veach doing this offseason. A RT in the mid-1st, 2 RBs with one on day 2, a DE that doesn't get home very often, and short OG isn't likely to move the needle a whole bunch if you just read it from the outside looking in. |

Jones won't sign that contract, and it looks like too many DL leaving and not being replaced.

KC has a young 1,000 yd. back on the roster.
Direckshun--better sign a free agent back and use a second day pick and a third day pick on a running back. ****ing stupid waste of draft resources. This isn't 1985 dipshit. We don't need a stable of running backs so we can run the ball 40 times a game. |

I'm not necessarily opposed to a RB in the 3rd round but it needs to be a Kamara type that can play some WR.
