I think Andy mentioned it in a Press Conf several weeks ago that it would be highly unlikely that Cook could even make it back if they got to the SB

Someone was saying that a 2nd opinion on Thuney found an actual tear in the pec and that he was probably done for the season. That's why he was ruled out before the game started.

Fortunately, the 49ers don't have a Madubuike so I'm not as worried about not having Thuney in that game. Allegretti can get the job done against the 49ers interior line. Especially since SF doesn't utilize much in the way of complicate blitz packages that would create communication problems.

We don't need Thuney as much against SF as we did against Baltimore.
