Arrowhead Security
So I get to two or three games a year and really look forward to the Arrowhead experience. Just my luck, I'm sitting right next to the drunkest, most obnoxious Chiefs fan I've ever encountered.
This guy was so drunk, he somersaulted head over heels down three rows directly in front of him. Security escorted him out and the people in front of us were told he was asked to leave. 15 minutes later, he's back, STILL drinking and screaming at the top of his lungs, using every word in the book and even a few I didn't know. I'm very disappointed that this type of abusive behavior is tolerated there. I will say on a positive note that the fans around this idiot handled it very well. There very well could have been fighting had the people around us not ignored this guy. The game was bad enough, but that experience really leaves a bitter taste in the mouth... |

Did you ever get up, track down Security and complain about this loser? Or did you just sit there? |

I would have gotten a Sheriff at that point.
I was involved in a fight once. This ass behind me kept spilling his beer on me, and my niece. I asked him to watch it, and he ignored me. Next, he lost his balance and fell into my niece, shoving her. I asked him to be careful, and he gave me some wise ass remark. Other fans had noticed this, and went to get security. By the time they got back, he had pushed my niece just to provoke me, and it worked. He got it about 8 times in the face before other fans pulled me off of him. Security was on the way up when they pulled me off, and this guys was so drunk, he thought security had hit him, so he started fighting them. They had to call 2 Jackson County Sheriffs to help. |

Yes, even Chiefs have a few bad fans, it's the norm in the NFL.

I have many, many memories from a myriad of visits to the stadiums at the Truman Sports Complex.
One in particular, instead of going to the game with my father – I told him I was going to go with a buddy of mine. The dealership he was selling cars with at the time had a massive group section way up in the top. I’ve never sat in the upper level seats, but more importantly, I wanted to hang with a buddy for a change- drink beer and devour BBQ with a ton of people. Anyways, it was a blistering hot, sunny day. Opening game at Arrowhead with the Raiders visiting. (Or was it the Chargers?) All was well, and everyone from the dealership, their family, and friends were having a great time- as well as I. The Chiefs won the game and we all sauntered back to our area in the parking to party some more and sit for awhile as the traffic exiting Arrowhead dies down. So, I’m sitting on the back bed of this pick up, next to my buddy. We’re having a great time drinking and being obnoxious. One of my buddy’s co-workers is sitting on the other side of my buddy and the three of us are chatting it up about the game when out of nowhere another one of the co-workers comes up and slams his fist into the guy’s face next to my buddy. I was shocked! Pretty much didn’t know what to do as I was terribly surprised by this sudden blatant act of throwing a fist at someone. Well, the guy flies off the bed of the pick-up and starts punching this guy. Next thing you know- a big ole brawl ensues. Before long, the single fight breaks off into several pockets of fights- precisely like an old western. People exiting Arrowhead are freaked out by this “riot” going on at the rear section of the parking lot. I didn’t know anyone but my buddy, and pretty much did nothing more than try to throw people off of him and the fight itself. Well, I see the guy who started this freaked out melee take off running through the parking lot- so like a dutiful buddy I go chasing after him while dodging moving cars like a beautiful, elusive run by Holmes. I end up tackling this guy from behind and turn him around on the pavement to face me. I’ve got my arm cocked and aimed right at his face and screaming at him that if he were to move, he will get it. Well shit, if the guy ain’t Hispanic and doesn’t speak fluent English. He’s apologizing in his broken English to me as I look up to see Arrowhead security racing across the parking lot in various vehicles, but mostly, they are nothing more than golf carts. They look like a bunch of angry, misplaced golfers. One of them comes up to me as I tell the guy in my own drunken, slurred English, how this Hispanic dude is the one that started it all, and that I was merely hijacking him for the authorities. I let the dude up, and he then takes off running like a bandit again. Only this time he makes the mistake of looking back at Arrowhead security on golf carts and runs right smack into a side of a moving car. They captured him, and upon further review of the parking lot, I can now see the police are now arriving in vehicles. After awhile, we were ALL taken into Arrowhead stadium to be questioned. I remember walking by Len Dawson and whomever that running back was that did the post game show in KC. We were all drunk and messed up and well, by now, pretty excited and agitated after participating in the parking lot riot. Half of the guys were screaming obscenities as they were walking past the broadcast- and Dawson and the ex-Chiefs RB were miffed! After giving my report I walked out, and they were putting the Hispanic dude into a paddy wagon. He was screaming and pouncing like a caged gorilla- literally shaking the paddy wagon from the interior. My buddy and I walked back to the car and drove home. The following week, I went to the game with my dad.

I once saw a guy fall over the railing into the tunnel head first. The guys was wasted. I was sitting there and told the guy next to me to look at how wasted the guy was. He then fell over the railing. From what I could tell he ended up being ok, but it knocked him out and cut his head.
Another funny thing. Where my seats are located there is a step that is a little bigger than the others, warped a bit. Every game, and I mean every game someone walking up the steps trips and spills whatever they just purchased. Beer, pop, food everywhere. |

I sit front row 50 yardline behind Chiefs bench. The lady that owns the tickets next to me has been scalping them every game for about 5 years now. So usually I get some drunken A-Hole from the VISITING TEAM sitting right next to me. Since they paid outrageous bucks for a front row seat, they're usually over-lubricated when they arrive, then it gets worse from there. I've never had to call security as usually the really bad ones pass out or leave before the game is over. One guy did push my wife to the ground trying to get to a glove or a towel or something the players threw up in the stands after the game. I had to go ballistic on him and told him if he EVER came back to my section he was a dead man (doing my best Al Pachino in Scarface impresonation). Seems to me to pay a scalper $300 or more for a seat, and then getting so blasted you can't even remember the game is the Webster's definition of stupid. If you're going to get drooling, pants wetting drunk, do it at home in front of your big screen TV. Unless you're Toasty Warfield...Rant Rant Rant.....

It goes both ways........
Last year, the section in which I normally sit, is a bit overzealous to get sercurity. Last season, a Bronco fan(a very loud) was sitting right behind me....He was a good natured enough guy, but was really loud...no cursing, nothing bad about the chiefs....just taunting a bit with "thats a denver broncos Fiiiiiirst dooooown"...stuff like that. I traded barbs with him enough that alot of the section and the one beside me were cheering as I busted his chops.....good natured. Security showed up to make the guy leave because someone complained. I told them that while the guy made obviously poor life decisions, like cheering the Burros, he wasn't belligerent, drunk, threatening or whatever and they were assholes to make him leave.......They let him stay after a couple of others agreed. he called his buddy somewhere else in the stadium and told them how cool Chief fans were..................and I heard him say the atmosphere was cooler than the Donkydome. |
