Let's talk about the Saints.

What?

It's midweek and we don't have a Saints thread?

I pretty much have no idea what to expect in this game. The Saints are a pretty terrible team everywhere. They have one good passrusher and the rest of their defense is utter garbage. Their offensive line can't open holes and Mark Ingram is JAG.

But, of course, they have the one thing we're vulnerable to: an elite, Hall of Fame quarterback.

Brees can light Arrowhead the **** up. We currently have no CBs on this team that can guard Brandin Cooks, a sharp route-running speedster that our corners match up horribly against.

Fortunately, they have no other receivers that are serious weapons, but it doesn't matter with Brees. He gets the ball out in a hurry, and roughly 100% of his passes are on target. Brees has seen every coverage, and every blitz.

We're probably rolling with another Hali/Ford/Zombo matchup on the edges and that's not going to be enough to get to him.

What do you guys know about the Saints?

I suspect we'll see some "reduce" fronts this weekend from KC and QQH.

I'm watching some NO games Sat to get caught up.

don't seem to get too in-depth regarding football. Is there perhaps a more knowledgeable Saints forum you could link us to?

I needed a bye fill in so I started both Charles and Ware last week and that worked out fine. I'm thinking I will do it again.

Man, what if Peters breaks the single-season INT record..

He's on pace to do so. I've never seen a DB with his ball skills this early on, if ever.

I was at that game. If he didn't have to come out for breathers he would have smashed the single game rushing record. He was unstoppable that game.

I just want Ron Parker over top of Cooks all game.

This dline needs to help out again and force pressure on Brees. Ford needs to generate pressure and build off last week.

When we get to the goaline just man up and slam it home don't get ****ing cute. I don't want this to be our Bears game last season.

This. Brees is my FFL QB. He does great at home and road weeks he's meh. Still, if our CBs get toasted all day it will be a very long day.

I do like the fact that their D is soft. We do well when Smith doesn't have DL in his face all day.

Pretty funny thread they have over there. Their defense would be better without injuries. Really? Good thing Houston, Mauga, March and Bailey don't really impact our defense much. Also, the play-calling from the OAK game is going to be their identity going forward. Much more running and play-action from heavy sets. They finally started using sherman a lot more as a lead blocker/h-back type.
