He's off to Baltimore pending a physical.

Hell if I know.

As a Cardinals fan, I was really hoping Chicago would keep him.

For skipping out on the season finale at Wrigley, the Cubs fined Sosa $87,500 - one day's pay.

This is why I find it very difficult to continue being a fan of professional sports.

Some Cardinals fans really wanted him this offeseason to play 2B, though he never seemed all that great to me.

Im really interested to see how much of Sosa's contract the Cubs had to eat in the trade. Hopefully its a lot

I have felt the government should commision a study on Cubs fans, maybe spend a few million to understand it.

I'm not much of a basketball fan, although I'm happy to see the Bulls playing well for the first time since Jordan hung up his spurs.

I dont think it was that big of a deal. Especially considering what he has done for their team. About the same a Priest and the Nachos thing.

But yeah thats a shitload to get paid for just one day.

I'm talking about the money. That's $87k in one day. I used to make a couple G's in one day and felt like I was on top of the world. I can't imagine $87k.

What's to understand? A bunch of yuppie douchebags who flock to Wrigley just to go there, and feel good about themselves because they can afford the outrageous ticket prices, regardless of what kind of crap the Trib splatters on the field. I think midget badmitton could sell the place out.
