Pioli obviously has a bad reputation

Everyone knows this guy came in here thinking he was the next savior, He obviosly believed it himself and his ego has been put into place with the less then stellar decisions he's made with the draft, signings, secretive ways etc.. is an embarrassment to this organization...

Mannning won't even give him the time of day.. sad for the club that started the AFL.....

This has a lot more to do than just Romeo. If Peyton doesn't visit the Chiefs, it's pretty clear that he has no respect for our front office. Which is sad, because apparently he has respect for Bud Adams.

Yep. And what I haven't really figured out is that the Hunt family has always been kind and respectful to Peyton. He has been here many times for the 101 banquet heck he just spent the whole day here in KC not too long ago and Mitch Holthus was with him the whole time.

Well duh...

1. Chiefs have the cap space to sign Manning and then some
2. Kansas City is clearly the best option (besides HOU) to win another SB given the talent that would surround him on offense and the defense that would come with it.

3. Great fanbase. Not that it really matters - but his signing would be Joe Montana v 2.0, this city would explode with excitement, and ST sales would skyrocket, so for Clark, there wouldn't be ANY reason not to give Manning the coin to come play here, it would more than pay for itself I would think at least.

4. Playing for a player's coach that delegates pretty much everything to his asst coaches on offense. Given Manning's credentials as a badass mother****er at QB, this would pretty much open the playbook for anything he would want to do.

5. Weather isn't great in Decemberin KC. But this is football and it's not like it's GB or BUF, he's a gamer, I mean he's strongly considering DEN for crying out loud, so it can't be that big of an issue, if at all.


SO.......that means there are really only 2 options left:

1. Clark/Pioli never made a real effort to get Manning, and played it off like they did. And for Clark that would be just ****ing stupid as hell on his part but whatever. Such a move would only further prove that he doesn't give 2 shits about winning a SB. This is a guy that took away salaries from the people that were making $20-30k a year on the admin side of things during the lockout. This is a guy that will charge tickets to vets that served in the US military industrial complex and risked their lives when they were honored before a game, if they wanted to stay and watch. This is a guy that also too away privileges for the workers to come in and watch the game after they were done ticket punching/scanning etc. So yes, it is possible that Clark/Pioli really is THAT cheap.

2. In addition to #1....Pioli is a egotistical ****tard who still has his nose up NE's ass. Peyton may just want to stay away from that. Rightfully so....I would too. This is equivalent to you getting a job offer out of state for a shit ton of money, but would have to work for someone you absolutely can't stand, or you could take the lesser amount of coin somewhere else and be a lot happier working for someone you like. Personally I know what I'd rather do. There has been word spreading around the league about how SS gestapo this franchise is ran now. Makes players not want to come here....can't say I blame them.

And for the record - I think Pioli has done an adequate job with the franchise other than the QB - and even then, there hasn't been much better in the last 3 years in FA that could have gotten us a franchise or elite qb....

The team has the key players outside the qb (most important I know) and his contracts have been cap friendly and reasonable. Once we have a qb - I feel confident he will continue to sign and find playmakers through the draft, to make us Super Bowl contenders year in and year out. My 2 cents

2 losing seasons and 1 season w/ a coach that knew what the **** he was doing....and boy we sure handled that well.....so well that we were all sold on the fact that he went to Florida for family issues, not because of his riff w/ Haley/Pioli...then comes back to the KC area only a couple seasons later to coach one of the worst football programs known to man .
