Charles Barkley -- Fat Groups FURIOUS ... Over Anti-Obese Comments

Two powerful obesity organizations are having a hard time stomaching Charles Barkley's offensive comments about fat women in San Antonio ... and now they're calling for Sir Charles to apologize.

Barkley lashed out against the big boned community in S.A. on "Inside the NBA" last night -- saying, "Some big ol' women down there ... that's a gold mine for Weight Watchers."

He also said, "Victoria is definitely a secret [in San Antonio] ... they can't wear no Victoria's Secret down there."

The statements are not sitting well with the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance which is now calling for Chuck to apologize, ASAP.

"Making slurs about body size is just as offensive as making comments about body color," spokesperson Peggy Howell tells TMZ Sports.

"One would think being a black man, he'd be more sensitive to having his physical body criticized. It's totally out of line. He should absolutely apologize."

The President of the Obesity Action Coalition has also issued a statement expressing "extreme disappointment" with Charles.

"As a former NBA player and sports entertainment figure, Mr. Barkley should encourage equality and respect among society and not look to shame or segment one population because of their size."

"Obesity is a serious medical condition and not a joking matter."

Give me a ****ing break. Those fat ****ers are pathetic. Guess what, I'm fat and it sucks. But I made myself fat because of unhealthy eating and lack of exercise. I don't like being fat, so I'm doing something about it with proper diet and exercise.

This. My biggest gripe about fat people who complain about the social perception of being fat is this: If you don't like how people see you because you're fat, change it. If you were truly fine with it, what other people think shouldn't bother you. It's nothing like being of a different race or, for those who aren't straight, different gender.

Well, accept being able to control one of those things. Is it offensive to tell people that don't bathe that they smell like shit?

I always tell people who have a problem bathing that they smell like ripe onions and onion odor is an indicator of a body odor/bathing problem. Very few times have I smelt someone who actually smelled like shit(when I have it's mostly due to them shitting themselves).

I disagree. Many very large fat people order a salad. Of course they also order a 96 oz soft drink, a bunch of fried food to put on salad, side order of tots, 32 oz of Ranch dressing and a giant milk shake to wash down that healthy eating.

LoL, not angry. Just disgusted. If a person doesn't like being fat, do something about it. Even if they need to seek professional assistance. Being fat is a choice. Choose to be fat, and accept it. Or choose to do something to change it.

The only acceptable excuse in my opinio, is that a physical handicap or a mental handicap prevents one from having that choice.
