Wow, talk about luck on the Chiefs part and terrible, terrible judgement on Bowe's part.

The only thing that made the contract a bad one for the Chiefs was the guaranteed base salary and if Bowe's behavior voids the guarantee...well

I'm not sure how a "shot" finger heals over a season. Sounds like, from local radio reports, that the guy is either intentionally not going up for balls in practice to prevent further injury to it, or simply can't due to the injury. The money plus the finger and I'd get out now if it is indeed possible.

I just can't see how they can cut Bowe at this point. It's a one-game suspension. They're going to choose to go with Hemingway and Avery as starters for 16 games? I mean, hell, I"m probably the biggest Hemingway homer here, but come on....

Bowe had five days to appeal the suspension, but it appears he won’t take that route.

Something doesn't smell right. First, he plead, knowing a suspension is possible, then he plans on not appealing. Is it possible that he along with his agent, didn't know he was forfeiting his guaranteed money? Or maybe he had a special contract provision?

I don't think they'll cut him until the offseason. They are done creating cap room. They also probably knew this was coming. If they were going to cut him, they would have given everyone else a lot more time with the ones. If Hemmingway has a big game against the Titans, he might keep starting but even then I don't think they cut Bowe this year.

Chiefs have cap issues. If because of a legal technicality, they can get out of Bowe's contract, they will. Cut? Renegotiate? I don't know.
