Who's better?

Peyton Manning
Phyllis Rivers
Tom Brady
Ben Roethlisberger
Andrew Luck
Drew Brees
Aaron Rodgers
Matt Ryan
Cam Newton

I'd probably put Alex Smith somewhere between 10-15. There are 8 others listed below and I think Alex Smith would make it somewhere in the next 5 spots if there was a ranking. I can't put an actual number on it. It's just after the "elite" franchise guys, there are a bunch of middle of the pack guys that can fall anywhere between 10-20 depending on who you ask. Ask 10 people and you'll get 10 different answers etc. (and I know some people will complain about Eli Manning not being elite. Sorry, I just never thought he was an elite QB because he's just played so many shitty games and when I think elite I think of his brother. Even Eli has more rings, he's never had a Peyton Manning level type of game, at least none that I can remember, and if he has they've been rare).

(In no particular order)

Alex Smith

Joe Flacco
Andy Dalton
Colin Kaepernick
Russell Wilson
Jay Cutler
Matt Stafford
Eli Manning
Tony Romo

Teams that are desperate, delusional, too early to tell, or are ridin' the rookie train to a high '15 draft pick:

Oakland
Buffalo
Miami
NY Jets
Tennessee
Houston
Jacksonville
Cleveland
St Louis
Arizona
Philly (though I guess Foles "could' belong in the above tier, but I'll be honest he's in this group because I haven't seen much of him, and he hasn't been a starter for long).
Washington
Minnesota
Tampa Bay

QBs THAT ARE CURRENTLY BETTER THAN ALEX
Tom Brady
Peyton Manning
Drew Brees
Aaron Rodgers
Matt Ryan
Matt Stafford
Colin Kaepernick
Russell Wilson
Andrew Luck
Ben Roethlisberger
Cam Newton
Jay Cutler
Tony Romo
Andy Dalton
Nick Foles
Phillip Rivers

QBs THAT ARE QUESTIONABLE, BUT GET THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT OF BEING BETTER THAN ALEX BECAUSE THEY HAVE RINGS
Eli Manning
Joe Flacco

QBs THAT ALEX IS CURRENTLY BETTER THAN, BUT COULD CHANGE VERY SOON
EJ Manuel
Geno Smith
Robert Griffin III
Derek Carr
Ryan Tannehill
Jake Locker

QBs THAT ALEX IS JUST BETTER THAN
Shaun Hill
Carson Palmer
Chad Henne
Matt Cassel
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Josh Mccown
Brian Hoyer

That means I have Alex as #19, with the potential to drop much lower if some of the young guns develop sooner than later.

The Eli/Joe thing shouldn't even be in question.

Do you think the Giants/Ravens win a SB with Alex?

**** no.

I mean....you are right. Eli has had two great runs and the rest of his career has either been mediocre or bad.

Flacco had an incredible run when he won his SB, but has had a mediocre career up until that point (and after).

I guess you are right. It shouldnt be in question.

I personally think Eli has been well above mediocre for most of his career.

He has 8 seasons of at least 21 TD passes.

Alex has ONE.

That's that garguantuan gap between a shitbag like Eli and a waste of our goddamn time named Alice Smiff.

If Jake Locker didn't have such a fragile vagina, would he be considered a better QB than most of you currently consider him to be now? I've always thought that he was a relatively decent quarterback with a frag-vag.

Locker >>>>>>> Smith

I'm not trying to troll, but why did 54 percent of voters say Matt Ryan? Are we really to the point where Matt Ryan is a better option than Alex Smith? A guy who is 1-4 in the playoffs with guys like Roddy White, Julio Jones, and Tony Gonzalez? A guy who has never achieved a 100 QB rating with arguably the most dominant offense in the NFL? Good grief.

LOL.

There isnt a soul on planet earth who isnt an Alex Smith homer who would choose him over Matt Ryan.

I'm not an Alex Smith homer. I would absolutely take him over Matt Ryan. Alex Smith dominates in the postseason. Matt Ryan shits the bed.
