Sac's Easy 4 Step Process for the Chiefs

1. Bob Sutton has to go.

- The defense, despite having a shit ton of talent, has folded in the second half of far too many games. The Colts playoff game was not an outlier. His scheme sucks. Guy calls two brilliant blitzes a game, but otherwise his defense has repeatedly failed at the most critical times.

I'd fire Sutton now, elevate Tommy Brasher to Interm Defensive Coordinator right now, and then hire Gus Bradley (if he gets fired from Jacksonville) or Utah's Kyle Whittingham at the end of the season for the position. You'll pay a lot for either, but they are the best at either level (pros/college) in setting up a defense.

2. Alex Smith needs to be benched right now.

- His confidence is shot and he's making poor throws and decisions with the ball. Daniel needs to start this weekend to give this team a shot in the arm. After that, if Smith gets his head back in the game, they can put him back in or, preferably, start Murray. He's been in the system for two years now and it's time to see if he can play in this league. The rest of the season should be about finding out if any of these three guys should be on the roster in 2016.

3. Reid needs to give up play calling duties.

- This can happen at the end of this season. Hire a new offensive coordinator who is capable of moving the offense forward, a la Mike McCarthy in Green Bay. Players like Reid - a lot. He motivates them and gets them to buy into the concept. But he makes bad game time calls that have cost this team. He needs to be a head coach versus a coordinator and head coach.

If Steve Sarkisian is dried out by the end of the season, he'd be my guy. He's very creative offensively and has been very successful in building high level working offenses quickly. He'll be under a smaller microscope in Kansas City but he'll be fresh off the humiliation of his current situation and trying to redeem himself in the eyes of the sport. Good possible canidate for future head coach.

4. A new QB in the 2016 Draft

- Dorsey uses a veritable army of scouts, the latest analysis technology, etc. He needs to put all of those resources to work starting yesterday to make sure that they pick the best QB for the team in the 2016 draft. Fine tooth comb the position and spend that first round pick on getting the guy that they target. No more pussyfooting around with the position. Just do it. And if that guy ends up sucking, do it again in 2017. They can also spend a third/fourth rounder on another QB in 2016 just to make sure. But they have to do this right now. For the team, for the fans.

That's really all you need. The problem now is that Jamaal isn't there, so a different emphasis won't work. Might as well let Andy play out the season now, because the talent now fits his system better than it did when the greatest running back in NFL history was in the lineup.

Poor Andy Heck. Gonna get fired for not performing miracles on an OL that has played musical chairs at all 5 positions every year.

Lololololololololololol at Steve Sarkisian being "dry" by next season...

He's an alcoholic going through a divorce, unemployment and a public humiliation, he's lost the respect of players and co-workers. His confidence will be shot for a while.

Reid makes bad calls when it comes to play selection & time management, but doesn't lack 'creativity' or have good passing concepts. Receivers are open; ball not getting delivered is a lot different than crappy route combos & concepts.

Just can't stop yourself from thinking someone from the barren state of Utah is any good. Other than that, good start. Except for wanting a guy to fill the role who retired from coaching in 2005. Sheesh...

Why does this team need a shot in the arm? I don't necessarily want them to tank on purpose, but what value is there is having Daniel (Who I love) play, in lieu of playing the younger guy to see what you've got?

Who do we resign? I think Howard and Berry are musts. Do we even bother with anyone on the O-line? I hope we can get Sean Smith too, but I'm betting that's unlikely

That's pretty closed minded. I'm not personally a Whittingham fan, but I do think he's the best defensive coach in college football. And he wins the big games. (Highest post season, bowl game winning percentage of any coach in college football history with the qualifying seven games or more.). Dude flat out can coach, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

And, by the way, I graduated from the University of Kansas. I'm not biased towards Utah other than living here now.

Personally, I don't care WHO calls the plays. But any pass play that throws the ball behind the line of scrimmage needs to be ripped from the playbook and burned.
