Travis Kelce is like a female version of Gronk

True or false?

this guy has flashes of brilliance but is so inconsistent and makes alot of big mistakes. .

That 3rd down pass he dropped would have been caught by Gronk and Gronk wouldve dragged the defenders into the endzone.

Good question for Asterix: would you take 2015 Gronk or 2005 Randy Moss?

So let's start with this -- assuming he is healthy (which isn't always the case of course), there is NO WR in the NFL I would take right now over Gronk for a single "must have it" game. Not Antonio Brown, or Megatron, or LBJ, or anyone else.

The reason is simple -- Gronk is not only a dominant receiver, he is also a dominant blocker when at his best. He's also the greatest receiving red zone threat in NFL history.

And i have simple proof for that one -- he has the highest TDs per games played of any receiver since WWII.

Quote:
1. Gronkowski’s average of 0.83 touchdown catches per game is the best by any player since Packers Hall of Fame receiver Don Hutson tore up under-manned NFL defenses during World War II (0.85 TDs per game).

Athletic phenom wide receiver Randy Moss is a distant No. 3 on the list. He averaged 0.72 TDs per game.

2005 Moss versus 2015 Gronk? Perhaps the most dominant WR ever versus the most dominant TE ever? Hell, give me either one, I'll be happy.

Gronk has played his entire career with a HOF QB. That's not exactly a fair comparison..

What kind of numbers would Moss have put up had he not wasted so much of his prime years in Oakland?

It's extremely hard to judge a WR/TEs true ability when he's playing with a HOF QB.

Antonio Brown put up average numbers when Roethlisberger was out for a few games.

Look at Demaryius now without Peyton.

Jerry Rice had HOF QBs. Moss had excellent QBs by and large, including the exact same QB GRonk has, for a portion of his career. He only had two years in Oakland, but yes, obviously, take those away and his TD ratio is likely higher.

I'll say it again, give me either one and I'm happy.

That goes both ways. Brady without any WR threats wasn't that nifty in 2005, or after Gronk was hurt all the times he ended the season hurt.

Man I'd love to have that 2011 Giants SB game to try with Gronk healthy. Argh. Oh well.

Moss had two full seasons with Brady at QB and scored 36 TDs. That's averaging more than a TD per game.

Imagine a rookie Randy Moss with prime Tom Brady.. He certainly would have put up better numbers than Gronk and never dealt with injury issues like he does.

I'll take Moss over Gronk all day everyday.

I recognize the fact that Gronk can block well but I'd rather have the defense focus attention away from the center of the field. I think it'd open up a lot more opportunities for my offense.

Prime Moss/Rice/Calvin Johnson > prime Gronk/Gonzalez/Gates IMO.

And seriously though these aren't you fathers TEs. They put up WR #s now and should be valued close to the same.

So do you take Gronk or Beckham if you're a GM?

I agree but hes stating it like WR is a useless position. . Im a huge fan of the TE position. . but i still see the value in having a top WR. .

and as a pats fan he should realize how important someone like eldeman is or maybe a better example would be David Tyree
