What Would You Do In My Shoes?

I'm in 2 Fantasy Football leagues this year, both a $100 buy in. A 12 team league that Pest is the commish of, I'm about to win for an $800 payday. The other is an 8 team work league where 1st place is $500. Unbelievably, I'm about to pull off the upset of the year and win that one as well.

Problem is, the commissioner lost his job with us and doesn't have the money to pay me. He's not a violent, fighting type of individual. Kicking his ass won't print money, but would probably motivate him to sell his PS4, and other shit off to get me paid. Would you do it? I'm really not inclined too, but there is a principle behind this so I am genuinely considering leaning on him to motivate him to get me paid.

The fact is, if it were me under no circumstances would I spend the money if I were the commish. At all. And everyone already tells me I'm too nice. The thing is, I really don't need the money, but could definitely use it, and if the roles were reversed I'd hope someone would show me some grace. While I wouldn't expect it too happen, I really do believe you should be the change you wish to see in the world. I'm pretty conflicted here. Genuinely. What would you do?

Why not? It's legal isn't it? Fantasy Football is exempt from the 2006 federal law online gambling prohibition.

Can always threaten it anyway. Or threaten to report for embezzlement or even fraud. Scare the B-Jeezus outta him.

This guy didn't welch on a bet. He stole money that had been given to him and he was supposed to hold. That is FAR worse.

He needs to pay it back. You may or not ever get paid, but if you make it easy for him, he will never pay you.

Also, if the dude lost his job less than 2 months ago and doesn't have $800 to his name, he's a dumbass anyway.

When I was in my 20s some asshole broke into my car and stole an electronic device. The ****er broke my car window to get it.

I was furious. I went to the police station to report the theft and the damage to my property. They asked what was stolen. I said "my radar detector".

They weren't very helpful after that. I suspect the amount of help given in this situation would be the same. They'll just say "Get the **** out of here".

There are lawsuits being taken up on other Fantasy Leagues demanding reimbursement to their clients. For different reasons but it's still a lawsuit.

Here's one:

Doesn't seem comparable to me since that equipment is used to break speeding laws. And if these cats that Flop used are operating illegally, taking in a lot of money, they'll have to reimburse any money paid in anyway.
