Headed to Pittsburgh

Hey Kids - I'm headed to Pitt on Saturday morning and will be sporting the red hoodie at the game on Sunday night!! Any advice on places to eat or things to do in the Steel city is super appreciated.

And check out Primanti Brothers if you can. Also, definitely go up to Mount Washington. I was there about 3 years ago. If you have time cruise over to Canton and check out the Hall of Fame.

I've never been to Pittsburgh, but I've been to other parts of Pennsylvania. My understanding is that Pierogies are the BBQ equivalent in Pittsburgh. A Pierogie is a meat pie covered with sour cream. This place is supposed to have the best in Pittsburgh:

I love Pittsburgh and try to make it once a year. Last time I was there I stayed at the Fairmont and ran into Bill Cowher while he was doing an interview in the lobby.

I second Meat and Potatoes. Also for breakfast try Pamela's P&G Diner, it's awesome and I'm not a big breakfast person. They have several locations, I ate at the one with all the games that decorate the walls

Pierogies are Polish raviolis, typical fillings include potato, sauerkraut, ground meat, cheese and sometimes fruits. The dumplings may be served with a topping, such as melted butter, sour cream or fried onion. The traditional savory method is with onion, and the sweet method with sour cream.

They are MUCH heavier and filling than a ravioli.

Where else am I going to whine about it? Nobody listens anywhere else either. They were probably taken by a drunken Bob Dole to get a good hearty belly laugh. They certainly weren't taken for any good reason.
