Bucs abused the defense...

I don't care what you have to say about Smith or the offense. The Chiefs defense got absolutely ass pumped by the Bucs. They got one stop because Winston dropped the ball. When the game was on the line they couldn't stop anything. They gave up 5-8 ypc runs all day long. WR's were running around wide open and no one even sniffed Winston's jock.

Blame who you want on offense and there is blame to be had by them and Reid. But the defense killed us today.

The defenses horrid play today doesn't cancel out all that. We don't have to pick one thing to blame here. There is plenty to go around. Sutton sitting on his thumb and not bringing pressure, Andy still not knowing how a clock ****ing works, ect. The D caused the offense to not have enough plays, but the offense could have and should have done more with the big moments they had.

This is what is going to happen in the playoffs. Good teams are going to make us have to win a way we aren't used to. It isn't going to go to script, and this result is part of the concern some have. That off script, the coaches and stars aren't going to do enough.
That's why most teams spend premium draft picks on QBs who can transcend those off script situations, improvise, and make big plays happen anyway.

The only time the Chiefs have even tried in my lifetime was when they burned a 2nd on a guy named Matt Blundin, who iirc never took a snap while sitting behind Bono, Gannon, & Grbac.

Only a total dipshit can't see that the defense actually played good; considering how long they were on the field, every time Alex went 3 and out, they went back out there, getting their shit pushed in like a slut on prom night, and somehow kept holding them to FGs, and only gave up 19 PTs. Penis Winston had 311 yards, ran the Bucs up and down the field, and yet had to settle for 4 FGs.

Only a truly inept offensive team can't score 20 points at home.

All the Chiefs had to do to get to 20 was not turn the ball over...
So the games aren't rigged?

The defense was on the field so long because they only forced two punts the entire game.

And I want to be clear. I do think KC can go somewhere with this team. Problem is because our QB isn't likely to carry a team when the other parts are struggling we likely need....

1. Our coach to call a great game and manage a great game. Good chance that doesn't happen.

2. We convert in the redzone.

3. Alex plays his best and doesn't fall into a shell. Also needs to use his legs.He pushed the ball a few times, but overall this season isn't looking good.

4. Our D helps out. I think that could happen against all possible playoff teams except vs PIT or NE.

5. Better 2nd half adjustments than the other team.

6. Not be injured at key spots. Doesn't seem good.

There is reason to be concerned about those things happening. First things first is righting this ship.

No it wasn't.

The argument is that Alex Smith bares his share of responsibility, and there are some that refuse to accept that.

Everyone bares responsibilty.

Andy Reid, Bob Sutton, Alex Smith and the offense, and the defense contributed to this losing effort.

I accept that. But I still think the D was far worse than Smith today.

If I had to rank the blame for this game it would be as follows:

1. Poor tackling-Players
2. Shit defensive plan-Coaching
3. Shit defensive calls-Coaching
4. Shit offensive calls in the red zone-Coaching
5. Dropped pass-Players (Kelce)
6. Bad INT- Players (Smith)
7. TO at end of 1st half-Coaching

Some people are crying about what we did in the last 8 seconds and that's just ****ing dumb. We had no shot at anything. No QB would have. That's where this board loses touch with reality sometimes. No one is scoring anything in 8 secs from their own 30 and no TO's.

That shit's gonna happen. There was plenty of time to come back and win. The defense allowed TB to score a TD after that INT. The defense didn't get a stop after we scored a TD and needed a FG.

That one play did not cost us the game at that point in time.

But they weren't - they gave up less than 20 pts.

Alex threw a red zone pick in the fourth qtr that was essentially a 14 point swing - at the LEAST, Santos gets 3.

20 points is all it took to beat the Bucs at home, and all Alex has to do is NOT turn the ball over. That's all. Even as bad as the defense was today, even though Penis Winston threw for 300 yards...they still gave the offense a chance to win.

This is the worst this defense will play all year, hobbled as they were...

All it would've taken was 20 points...and the offense couldn't even manage that's

At home.

Pathetic.
