Well alright, do you think the players are going to conceded playing 18 games in return for the owners upping their percentage from 47 to 48 or 49 and then somehow believe that bigger rosters which equals more jobs is enough from the owners to give them some of their other demands?

If you don't believe that there is going to be an issue, because today as expected the owner don't want to give them more money and of course they don't want more games.

It's just a scare tactic. The union here does that too close to new contract time.

A few years back they went on strike and the company waited them out. They held out for about 6 weeks before they caved and accepted a worse contract than they were initially offered. It almost broke the union too, as lots of guys scabbed and came back to work after week 4.

Do you think players are going to miss game checks?

I dunno, I guess it depends how big of an issue they consider these things. They got bent over on the last deal and they all know it.

If they are willing to give on 18 games they'll be able to get several things they want.

It's all noise.

There's not gonna be any kind of work stoppage, they'll cave on it and be playing.
