Mahomes. I almost went Sorensen, but I can see a comeback having happened without his heroics. No chance of one without Mahomes.

Sorry to vote against Mahomes and Kelce. But it's Dirty Dan for me by a mile. A lot of people have talked about how 1 defensive TD in that first quarter could have made the Houston lead feel insurmountable. Sorenson stopped that twice. Also keep in mind that he not only prevented 2 potential scores, but both of his turnovers gave Mahomes an extremely short field to work with. He's arguably responsible for a 28 point swing.
I'm sure we still would have taken care of business. But the crowd really got pulled back into it. And you can feel the Texans really getting into their own heads after that second turnover. Mahomes/Kelce put together the more complete game. But Dirty Dan's two plays are 2 of the biggest plays in all of Chiefs history. |

I went Kelce. If only because the guy was banged up but played out of his mind.

Sorenson. He single handidly created a 14 point swing when the team had no momentum.

Kelce, who has a history of being called out on CP for being unfocused and immature, overcame injury and early drops to go on and have the biggest game of his career.
He gets it for me. He was locked in in a way I’ve never seen him before. |

Production comes from belief. And make no mistake, when Mahomes talks, teammates listen.

I am proud of the guy he's become. He wasn't going to be denied. I've said it a couple times, but this team is different. There isn't a Chiefs team that I've ever watched that pulls that game out. Either the Defense crumbles after getting us back in the game to blow the game (See 2019 AFCCG for example) or the offense just packs it in and says, "sorry not our day." We've watched many super talented super productive teams shit the bed after far less adversity. It took leadership from a hell of a lot of different guys to pull this shit up by its bootstraps. |

I think it's very much a group effort here.
Kelce was a warrior through injuries. Sorenson made some MASSIVE plays in that 2nd quarter. Clark was a beast in the pass rush and gave Deshaun a ton of trouble. Patrick was the emotional leader and was very accurate today. He rallied the troops and backed it up with his own performance. 7 straight TD drives. That didn't happen by handing the ball to Derrick Henry. |
