So I guess the metlife turf is really bad

I had no idea this was an issue till yesterday. Guess the 49ers basically bitched and didn't want to play on it. Got hit with this...

There were 7-8 leg injuries in that game with Bosa tearing an ACL...apparently the turf is new and it's "sticky" not releasing the guys cleats and causing all sorts of problems.

Remember the old Eagles field? I remember one game where there was a like a 2-foot square trap door in the middle of the field. I remember that field essentially ended Wendell Davis' career.

I've walked on the old field at Giants stadium. It was a thin rug over concrete.

I have no idea how players played on that old piece of shit. Turf burn all the time. Like playing on painted asphalt.

I don't think it's gotten that much better.

Well thank God for the 49ers, they don’t have to play there again for a long time.......if you consider 6 days a long time.

So was KC (before Montana), from quotes I've heard.

There was some receiver who blew out both ACLs on the same play on that field. I have no idea how that can happen, but it did.

kind of ironic since the field in the new 49er stadium was crap for the first couple years, I remember players complaining about it leading up to the Super Bowl it was hosting.

Hard to say, Shanahan definitely criticized it after the game, but at the same time the Steelers and Giants played on that same field just a few days earlier on Monday Night and didn't have any issues at all.
