What a weird video. Spent 17 minutes watching it and then gave up.

They spent that entire 17 minutes talking about how Belichick is a genius defensively, how he knows how to shut Mahomes down, how Mahomes was totally off (played one of the 3 worst games of his career, according to Sims). So they spend all this time praising the Patriots in a game that . . . . wait for it . . . . . . . they lost 26-10.

I mean, if you didn’t already know the final score of the game and had not tuned it at all and just watched that video (at least up until the 17 minute mark), you’d have thought the Pats won by a score of 26-10.

I’ve never seen two guys spend so much time praising a team that lost by 16 points.

Just ****ing weird.

They didnt really touch on it...but all those CEH runs that went for 1-2 yards.

I'm sure Reid thought it would soften up the Belichick scheme....just didn't happen.

Had they established that element...it would have been a different game.

Reid doesn't like those type backs.

We should have signed Fournette but i imagine Andy didn't want him.

Patriots are one of the best defenses the Chiefs will face and still won by 16.

The media loves to talk about the Chiefs offense, but the defense has become a strength too. Multiple ways the Chiefs can beat you now.

Same deal with their QB countdown. Simms named Mahomes #1, but the other guy hijacked it into a video criticizing Mahomes’ fundamentals. None of the other QB videos were like that. Simms kept having to drag the other guy away from being negative.

The Chiefs got a defensive score and had the Pats **** up two redzone opportunities.

So they aren't wrong. The Chiefs weren't good Monday. They won, and winning is the ultimate deodorant. But they weren't good and if Cam plays, it's potentially a different outcome.

No one has said it, but Mahomes is gonna have to figure out what Bill does to slow him down. I don't know if it's just run it more effectively, slow down etc. But it's the same thing he used to do to Peyton that worked continuously.

Frustrating.

EDIT: Went back and watched the first half again and I was a little tough on them. Offense moved the ball at will in the first half. Mahomes took what they gave him and they marched between the 20's. Got bogged down in the redzone and a penalty or two. Other than that, they were their normal self. The Watkins fumble just derailed it.

The Chiefs clearly werent up for this game. Similar to the Chargers. They bounced back and demoralized the ravens the next week. I think the back up qb and weird schedule had them playing down. and they still won by 16.

It seemed like when Pat would do his deeper dropbacks, it played right into Hoodies hand. Their 3 man rush was beating our line, and there's no excuse for that. To me, that single element allowed the pats to drop everybody else. If our line stops those 3 and 4 man rushes, its a cake walk. They never had to blitz, so screens weren't going to work either. I have to say, if we could have played a power game to soften them up, we might have then been able to shift gears into what we normally do. But as it was, they were far too effective with minimal pressure and they could saturate the secondary.

Belichick was playing that stupid ass bend but don't break D and we drove to the Red Zone with ease, but once again our running game was aids and couldn't ****ing run it against 5 in the box. No QB is gonna light it up when the D can drop 6+ people into coverage and still stop the run. That was one of the most pathetic run offense I've seen.

They were literally saying "run it we don't care" and then we are all like "OK! We will run it" and then we get no gain and Bill is like "come on Andy rack up those rushing yards with that new toy of yours" and then we tried and tried and failed, but we still won.

The offense wasn't stalling out because of Patrick. It's because we couldn't block or run.

The Patriots can’t be replicated bc they are coached so well. I haven’t seen any secondary besides them flow so succinctly. They played zone a lot and adjusted to our receivers finding zones.

They have very good talent but their chemistry is so good. Even the LB’s communicated quickly with the safeties and cut off throwing lanes. You see it again and again on replay. Mahomes doesn’t have anywhere to throw the ball and the Kelce catch technically wasn’t open, Pat just made a perfect throw that was less than a foot over the defender.

The bend and break method for Bill’s defense perfectly which is why he kept using it. Getting our offense in the red zone was actually easier for Bill bc there were space constrictions and they stopped the run consistently. DE and LB chip Kelce off his route, Gilmore 1v1 with Sammy and Cover 2 and 3 variance on separate plays to keep safeties watching Pat’s eyes and shading Tyreek.

Bottom line we gotta run the ball better there

Zone matching.

Basically play zone then match m to m once someone comes in your zone.
