I agree. Mahomes has had no road playoff games aside from last year's Super Bowl.

I would love to see Mahomes rip the beating heart out of higher seeded teams in the playoffs, metaphorically speaking of course.

Agree that's why I'm calling a shootout. If Milano plays he and Edmunds have been better this year at staying home and not creeping up like they did against you last year so at least we shouldn't give up as many over their heads like last year. Keep it in front of us and see if pat can be patient is the new way. So far he's gotten a little more impatient and made some mistakes. Thats what I suspect we will do. Keep linebacker depth and make you guys go 12 + plays every time and see if we can lull you into a mistake.

Why it's a surprise: The Chiefs have put much emphasis and many hours on the practice field to improve their defense inside the 20-yard line -- which was worst in the league last season -- but things have only gotten worse. The Chiefs have allowed a touchdown in the red zone 79% of the time, which is fifth worst and two percentage points worse than last season. It's the biggest reason the Chiefs are 31st in points allowed.

I would like to caveat this by pointing out that's Adam (I LOATHE THE CHIEFS) Teicher's review of the Chiefs. Of course, my only surprise about that is the fact the Chiefs LET him attend the press conferences any more.

It’s almost like you haven’t seen any of the last 3 games. OL has been opening great holes for our RB’s, and we’ve been driving long fields and scoring Td’s. Might wanna look up how we’ve been operating so far this season. I’m sure as a casual fan you see us at 2-2 and see the few uncharacteristic turnovers we’ve committed, and think we’re not as good as last season. But offensively, we’re even better. We’ve been running well, and going 70+ yards for weeks. One thing for sure, we’re gonna see if Buffalos rush defense is better than when we ran all over them last season.

Sure, I get the whole “we can beat anybody with Mahomes” argument, and it’s always relevant. However, people are underestimating how much some of these teams have caught up to us talent wise.

It’s going to get pretty anxious in a hurry if we’re 2-3 after 5 games with losses to three playoff contenders, two of them at home. Maybe not full on panic, but definitely a little unsettled.
