Yes the turnovers are an issue but I think the issues with the 2 deep looks the team continues to have should still fall under a "struggle". Anyone got the info on where are picks stand as of right now? It's a tough spot to be in if we only have like 5 picks... I'd hate to make a move just for the sake of making a more if there isn't any potential for it being also beyond this season or part of a solution for next year and/or beyond that...

Sure, but acquiring a RB doesn't mean we still can't upgrade the defense. The question is who's out there on defense who could help us?

Don’t think we can afford more than one upgrade and I vote defense…

He's a 4 ypc guy. I don't know why everyone would be so excited about that. I bet Williams would have at least those numbers if you fed him 250 times.

I'm gonna be honest with you chief. I remember Marlon Mack as he was, completely forgot about the injury. But ive dug myself into the Marlon Mack hole. This makes me realize that i didnt die in the Sanders Comings hole just so i could defend this one like a blind 3 legged badger.

This^^

Honestly, at this point in the season the only decent help out there would have to be acquired in a trade I would think. Any teams thinking about trading talent are doing so to get draft pics because they are rebuilding, or they have an albatross of a contract coming due on a player that they don't need to keep.
I don't think the Chiefs are in a position cap-wise to get a big name player, and I am not a fan of trading pics out of desperation. We would probably get more mileage out of a coaching change at DC. The Chiefs aren't the type of team to change coaching personnel mid-season, and even if they would, who is out there that is available? Our only option might be to fight through this and hope these guys can get their minds right. I'm not optimistic, but I also haven't given up. There is still a lot of season left to play.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Chiefs have signed RB Elijah McGuire to the practice squad. The former sixth-round draft pick by the Jets spent two seasons in New York, carrying the ball 181 times for over 500 yards and four touchdowns. McGuire has spent time on the practice squad with Kansas City over the past two seasons, but he hasn’t played in an NFL regular-season game since 2018.

Derrick Gore – RB
A stocky, power running back from Syracuse, New York, Derrick Gore made the most of his time at ULM. Gore originally committed to the University of Alabama and played for the Crimson Tide for two seasons before transferring to ULM.
Gore immediately carried the load for Warhawk running backs and culminated in a stellar statistical senior year. Gore ended the season with 662 yards on 131 carries for an average of 5.1 yards per carry and six touchdowns.
At ULM’s Pro Day, Gore dominated the bench press with 24 repetitions at 225 pounds. He also had a 34-inch vertical and ran a 4.55 in the 40-yard dash. (March 24, 2019)
