Let's talk about the Bengals [and Hamburger Helper]

This one is huge as far as the #1 seed goes.

Let's talk about it.

I've never been to Cincy. It seems a lot like KC as far as metro area. But we have BBQ and they have lame Skyline Chili -which is runny chili with cinnamon and chocolate in it, poured over spaghetti. Echh....

That play happened literally right in front of me. I thought Green was dead. He didn't move at all for several minutes.

Its kind of cool to see the Bengals doing well. I loved it when they had Boomer and Icky and of course who didnt love Sam Wyche, Chris Collinsworth, still love that guy. Crushing loss in the Superbowl though.
Then Carson Palmer, Ocho and Houshmenzadah were fun as heck. Another crushing loss when Palmer got hurt in the playoffs.

They were, like us. Just couldnt catch a break and always the underdog.

Burrow is fantastic. Big games are not new to him. He stays calm and keeps slinging it. Hes got the WRs every QB wants to have. Mixon is a beast. Uzomah is a good TE just not enough targets to go around for him. I love to see a team like that moving up in the NFL after so long.

I keep thinking the same thing about the Browns but man they just cant get it done. I think the Bengals have passed the Browns already, good for them.

BUT the Chiefs are just on a whole other level. Its so great to say that out loud! I like the Bengals and wish them well but its not your time. The Chiefs will put up 30+ on the Bengals. I could see the Bengals managing 20+ but believe they will be under 20. Maybe a garbage time score that gets them above 20.

GO CHIEFS!! Destiny awaits!

It’s an odd delicacy to be sure. My first time trying it I couldn’t finish and almost became sick. Oddly enough, over the years of living in Cincy, I have developed a taste for Skyline. Once you stop thinking I’d it as chili but rather pasta, it’s actually not too bad. The “Who Dey” and “a welcome to the Jungle” bits are tiresome and need to evolve. However, that is unlikely as this is a town that time forgot.

Yep, I remember the hit and being super pissed off, not only at the hit itself, but at the lack of a flag, the announcers trying to say it was Eddie Kennison's fault for "blocking" Geathers into that cheap shot, and most of all because a Chiefs lineman didn't kill Geathers on the spot.

Why in the heck did KC wear all white at that game? It was at Arrowhead. I completely forgot it was a home game until you commented on being right in front of the hit.

Geathers was not fined. Infuriating to this day.

I don't think Salfino actually watches many games/snaps.

He keeps bringing up season-long stats and referencing games with significant garbage-time yards (like the Broncos. The fact they got to 400 yards by racking up 150 yards in the last 9:30 of the game, a period that started with them down 22-3, and a period in which they never trailed by less than 2 scores, is "concerning" to him).

Also keeps saying you have to include the early season stuff when evaluating (ignoring the injury issues and lineup changes that happened after the Tenn loss that have helped lead to the D's resurgence).

Stat guys who can't apply context are the worst.

I'm a huge stat nerd. But they are meaningless if you ignore context. (Like playing in a lot of blowouts and cruising on O as a result, or changes in personnel, etc.)

I would almost like to get revenge on Burrow for that hit this weekend. Almost. I would never want something like that done to Burrow. Too bad Geathers isn't there to take a serious cheap shot.

The best revenge is just beating them in their home and hurting their playoff chances.

Or Mahomes breaking the single game passing record and running the score up on them, right after they shrugged off running the score up on a depleted Ravens team.
