I agree. There is no one in the FA market or draft that can make up Hill's contributions this season. But if you have enough quality receivers, the production won't drop off.

The word on Shenault this past season was always that he was being used improperly in the offense. He's a big body, physical player who's more of a west coast offense fit. Kind of like Schuster. Obviously the Meyer Jaguars were a circus but he doesn't seem like a Pederson guy that much either.

OBJ, but best case scenario is November for him. That's it, but, depending on filling the voids at WR, this could be good for the offense and Mahomes. At times, I think they leaned way too hard on Hill/Kelce and the offense seemed to sputter.

Why would a guy that was drafted in the second round with 4 years of team control then underperformed his draft status still be worth a 2nd rounder with 2 years of team control?

Might take Miami’s 4th, but I wouldn’t expect him to cost more than that to acquire.

Pairing Shenault with Smith-Schuster would be a nice zig for the Chiefs.

You’ve got all these teams in the West and league at large loading up on pass rushers and DBs and moving to nickel or dime sets as big down percentage packages and playing 2 deep safeties in anticipation of the Chiefs taking lots of deep shots.

So what’s a great counter to that? Big, physical receivers who can catch short passes and break tackles when those S come flying upfield.

You always need a speed element, and I think the Chiefs will have that. But this a move that makes a lot of sense, and he’s WR4 in Jacksonville.

I really like Laviska... think he brings more than JuJu. I'd like to see him not find his way to KC.

Agree with this one here.

All about what the Jaguars ask for in return.

I was watching something yesterday and I can’t remember who it was but they were spitballing ideas on who to try and get now and the person threw out McCaffrey…

Their logic was well if the entire West and AFC to a degree is going to load up on edge rushers, get a “weapon” you can line up in various positions and take advantage of slow and bad LB corps and interior guys…there’s your mismatch and a way to nullify the bevy of edge guys.

Now I’m not saying do that trade or anything but it def. got me thinking and I’m intrigued by that offensive strategy…

I could probably be talked into a 3rd.

-You're not finding a WR in the 3rd that's getting meaningful time on the field in Season 1, maybe even season 2.

-He has the two learning curve years behind him and is going into the typical breakout season for a WR.

Really depends on if they want to be competitive this year, or just accept the down year and build for the future with picks.

At 23 years old, I feel like LS accomplishes both (win now and future)

I think this is it. We’re changing our offense to counter the new defensive schemes they’re throwing at us. Playing Chess!
