I am all about the streetcar and tranist but I question that amount of money it seems small I also doubt this could happen before 2026.

Will be interesting to hear more about this first hand instead of through Soren Petro.

I know they are in the process of making an east west streetcar route along 39th st with KU Med being a main anchor of the project. So that is an east west path but it is not really "downtown"

Streetcar going west on 39th would be a disaster it's too narrow unless they are going to turn it into a pedestrian street. A streetcar going to the stadium would also be a really dumb idea assuming the Royals are moving you would spend millions on something used maybe 12 times a year.

Entertainment Village isn't a bad idea I'd the Chiefs are staying there. I already listed my concerns with the street car add to that the new line going down Main the city has dropped the ball there isn't any development on there yet. The south end of the plaza should already have started development IE: the Tennis could should have been gone with a major mixed development property with the courts placed on top.

Every time I talk to those folks and read more about what goes into studying the feasability of these projects I am impressed with the attnetion to detail. I think after the study if they thought it was a good idea then it probably will be. Would be a great connector.

It would. Looking at that study it's interesting though 2 areas in the past has rejected the street car (Eastside & Westport) will be interesting to see how they can pass it this time and what 39th would look like. Honestly 39th west of Southwest should be made into a pedestrian street anyway.
