I'll get it but I plan to take the day off the next day. 1st covid shot no side effects the 2nd I had a mild fever and mild flu like symptoms for a day

Just from my personal experience I think I've sworn off shots. Honestly don't know if there is any connection but 6-7 years ago I got the flu shot. About a week later I came down with the worst case of flu I've ever had. Haven't taken the shot since and haven't had the flu either. Also, I've had both of the original Covid shots plus the booster. About 4 months after the booster shot I was diagnosed with Covid. I seem to be immune to the shots.

No. Only time in my life I got a flu shot I hit very sick that year (which was about 25 years ago). May not have had anything to do with it, but I’ll take my chances. Haven’t gotten sick from cold symptoms in probably 5 years. I figure my immune system is pretty good.

the covid shot isn't like other shots like an MMR where it grants immunity, the covid shot just makes you less likely to contract it and less likely to get a severe case

also the flu shot they kind of have to guess what flu variant will be the most prevalent in a given flu season, so the flu shot will vary in effectiveness, if the flu shot has the wrong variant for what ends up being the strain that is prevalent in the US it's not very effective. so yeah your experience isn't at all out of the ordinary
