I don’t see much talk about Pacheatcode becoming the new #1

Everybody was pounding the table for Clyde—their favorite player to hate—to be demoted. And what do you know. The very next week, Andy gave you your wish. Yet nobody cares?

Let the reign of Pacheatcode begin.

This idea that he's light years better than CEH is not based in fact.
We only have this argument because we aren't good at the position, we have a bunch of backup RB's.

It wasn't. People just like to bitch about CEH. KC has the highest scoring offense in the league and you'd think by reading CP that they are battling Denver for worst offense of the century.

Running back by committee isn't always a bad thing. Pacheco is the pounder. CEH is the receiving back. Jet is the WTF is he going to do back. I don't know why some here place such value on designations like WR/RB1. Each has a needed skill set.

You're either Clyde's dad or the dude that Pacheco took carries from at Rutgers. Which one is it?

I'm the guy that see's 3 RBs on the roster in which none of them deserve people pounding on the table for them to get 15-20 carries a game.

The best actual runner of the ball is Ronald Jones and they won't play him.

Who's pounding the table for anybody to get 20 carries? As long as Pacheco gets more carries than CEH and McKinnon gets involved in the passing game, I'm good with it.

My take is the Chiefs are attempting 38 passes a game and teams plan for that. The running game (or backs coming out of the backfield)is not as heavily looked upon by defensive coordinators. Andy could easily add more running plays or creative usage of the running talent and YAC skills he has in the backfield to make the offense even more devastating and harder to defend. Now maybe he doesn't because of the skills (or lack of) the offensive line has but balancing the attack even just a little more just seems like an idea worth implementing especially against teams that can't stop the run or have LB's that lack in covering backs out of the backfield.

There's no evidence to suggest that Pacheco is an upgrade over Clyde at this point. These knocks on CEH about a lack of vision are some of the primary knocks Pacheco also had coming into the draft, and he's done nothing to dispel them. He's really done nothing worthy of touches, other than stay ahead of Ronald Jones, which just earns him a place in the RBBC.

Sure, I hope Pacheco turns into a pro bowler but right now his hype train is running exclusively on angst about CEH and wishful thinking.

If he could block at all, he'd get plenty of snaps. In this offense, there's no point in playing a back that can't block unless he's a dominant runner.

Then why did they sign him?

I mean shit he was good enough to not get Brady killed.

It doesn't matter which RB starts as long as we all use them right.
