FTX Crypto: Tom Brady was in. Were you?
It is rumored that Tom and the ex were heavily invested in the now bankrupt FTX Crypto exchange. -> https://youtu.be/uymLJoKFlW8 <-> How to lose $650 Million in 3 months or less -> Tom's "boy" Sam walks away while Tom is making a video with him

I read somewhere that the crypto industry spent more money lobbying Washington last year than the defense and health care industries did. If that’s even remotely true, think of the amounts of money these people have access to. No wonder the whole thing is swimming in corruption. It’s like an unregulated casino

How can they go after Brady and these other celebrities? Every damn advertisement is inflating the benefits or deliciousness of their product.
Now, if they knew the books were cooked, that’s different. But no way they knew.

Brady may have to ask Giselle for spousal support.
But I digress. Yes, crypto is a huge ponzi scheme. There's noting to back it up. I realize all the gold in the world wouldn't back up US currency, but at least there's the US government backing it. "Look, new money. All you have to do is give us your old money and you'll soon be a 1%'er." There's a sucker born every minute. |

The other person said that they aren't actors portraying someone. They're doing the ad as themselves and using their influence (caveat: tom brady is a dirty cheater) to get people to buy the product. Therefore, they're making personal claims and can be held responsible. I can kind of see that argument, especially if they're doing longer infomercial types of things where tom brady is making claims as himself. But if we're talking 30 second ads where he's more or less reading a script, I think that's a really hard lawsuit to win. Can you sue Mean Joe Greene if Coca Cola gives you diabetes? And honestly, if tom brady influenced anyone to buy into this scam, they're probably a terrible person to start with and deserve to lose their money. tom brady is probably one of the least trustworthy people in America.

Here's another thought that brings a smile to my face. Just for easy numbers, let's say Brady was paid $1M to do that spot. His agent will take 3% and the feds 37%, so now he's down to $600K. If that commercial was shot in another state, I believe that million is subject to state taxes there, so New York (for example) costs him another 6.85% or $68.5K, net is now $531.5K. If he was paid in cypto, he could actually be in the hole at year's end. Uncle Sam doesn't do bitcoin so pay up, Tommy.
