We wear the black hat now, fellas...

I'm disinclined to argue with any of these schmucks over the holding call that was a hold.

The bottom line is that WE have the black hat now. We're the villains. This is the kind of mess we're going to hear about every time this team succeeds.

ENJOY IT! Embrace it. Revel in it and **** the rest of 'em.

"Never forget what you are - wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you."

This is gonna be a blast, fellas. Every bit of annoying talking head bullshit we've seen for 4 years is going to be amplified. Every single time we lose it will be because X quarterback is the best in the league or Y team has finally come to knock the Chiefs off their perch.

This is the role we've always wanted to play so why fight it now that we have it? This is it. When the league folds and the only evidence it ever existed is Profootballreference and a pack of geriatric assholes with giant hogs and goatees on some rusty old website called ChiefsPlanet, the history will be written and this will be the golden age of Chiefs football. Don't apologize for a bit of it.

Because this shit is awesome.

That we are…I was walking out of brunch with my two year old on Saturday (wearing my chiefs jacket). A car driving by stopped to roll down their window and yell “Go Eagles!” and immediately drove away.

His back window had a bills decal.

Dude, Patrick Mahomes is the most under the radar note-taking badass this league has ever seen.

Mahomes may put on the white hat in front of the cameras, but in front of the mirror it's a black hat and a notepad full of people he's gonna **** up for calling down the thunder.
Mahomes has major Jordan redass and its wonderful.

But I also know the entire team had it. Hell Tavia went off the day before on Instagram about it.

I completely understand how they got their reputation... after a while, you just pat opponent fans on the head when they stop by, because you're done explaining how big of advantage it is to have Mahomes and so forth. You dismiss the bullshit jealous rage after the Chiefs win, because you'd rather bask in the glory than stoop to their drivel.

It 100% came off as arrogant assholes when they did it, and we're now the arrogant assholes.

Because Mahomes.

Mahomes has really got an "and I took that personally" thing about him.

At this point he's no longer proving he's a Super Bowl caliber QB or proving the haters wrong. His trajectory now is among the all-time greats, passing their achievements, putting himself at the top. He wants to be the best and has every chance in the world.
