2023 Schedule Speculation
This is all speculation and nothing more.
Assuming the Chiefs win Sunday, we would get the first game of the new season. If the pattern holds as it has been, the first game would Thursday September 7. The Royals are at home against the White Sox. Who would most likely be our first game? 2023 Home opponents-Broncos, Raiders, Chargers, Bills, Bengals, Dolphins, Bears, Lions, Eagles-and one of these will be in Germany (Bears or Lions?) I don't see it being an NFC team or a division opponent. That leaves 3 choices-Bills, Bengals or Dolphins. My choice is Bengals. |

I can't imagine it being anyone other than the Eagles week 1. That's a home game and Superbowl rematch. You might as well put it in ink now. The only question is with the Royals home game in Thursday, will they still try to make Thursday night work or if they open on Sunday night.

Chiefs/Eagles seems like the most obvious choice.
