Okay I feel a lot better now. Spags played a lot of the game with only 3 DL. Used Chenal as a DE quite a bit which k would assume he might do in the SB. Would like to see Willie used on the edge a few times too.

Line Chris Jones up at DE over Trent Williams on early downs. Match power to power.

Omenihu is valuable but he's at best our 4th most important defender. I wish he were playing but as others stated, that shouldn't decide the game.

An ACL isn't that long of a recovery anymore. He could easily be good in 6-7 months.

Chiefs defense played well when he was out the first six games of the season… Spags has two weeks to create a gameplan without him.

Bummer. He'd have been extra motivated against his old team I imagine. Ah well, 2 weeks to get the gameplan down.

Feel bad for him, to get taken out right at the end against your former team for it all. Rough, gotta reward him just like Thuney if Thuney can’t go.

I dunno, I kinda feel like Jones on Williams is wasting our advantage there which is put Jones on the weak link? He would dominate their RT all night long.

Danna can set a hard edge. And that might be all you need from that side. Just don’t let them gash you at will on the ground.

Man, this postseason has reaffirmed for me: who cares if he's ready for week 1 or week 7 or week 14. As long as we make the playoffs, I genuinely don't care too much about seed or anything that happens during the season, other than guys either staying healthy or getting healthy for the playoff run.

Yep… the timing of the injury is sucky for him as a guy trying to get paid, but if his recovery is “normal”, it probably sets him up to be hitting full stride in January… changing games for us.

Now, I have been pondering if this specific 2023 team was best built for the road run… defense, running game, and Mahomes and Kelce there for the clutch.

Not sure all of our Mahomes teams coulda done this. So projecting forward, if we take steps forward on O but steps back on D, might be a team better equipped to be home.
