Need a cheap Vacation - Page 6

My wife will be done with Law School this spring. I can't wait to add a second income!!!!!!!! Anyway I would like to suprise her with a quick 4 day or so vacation. Where can I go for a reasonable price. I just want to go some place cool, to reward her.

Any Ideas, I'd like to keep it under 3K

For what's its worth Dawes I'd suggest Lake Placid. If you want her to get away from it all and you want to take her someplace romantic it's the place to go.
Great small town with awesome scenery and the ladies love it so much they don't mind you dragging them around to see all of the Olympic stuff.
You can fly into Albany on Southwest pretty cheap, rent a car, and find a very cozy romantic B&B for a lot less then 3k.

take her to the crescent city. new orleans. It won't be too hot yet, you can get some great food, and book the fishing trip of your life for like 300 bucks. Art museums antique shopping old homes\plantation tours swamp tour, hornets games, titty bars gret live music.

Yeah you have to go out of your way to have a bad time in New Orleans. So long as you book your hotel early enough it can be pretty cheap.

I get on the defensive a lot, because if I post anything at all, no matter what it's about, some idiot white trash piece of shit tries to insult me. I don't like those kinds of people even speaking to me, let alone insulting me. Part of what is now Custer State Park(SE section) was owned by my great grandfather. The Black Hills are by far my favorite place to go, but large part of that is because of all the memories/history there, not just the amazing scenery.
